ich habe mich dazu durchgerungen, die OSM Emergency Map 
 zu reanimieren.


Im Gegensatz zu früher deckt sie nur Deutschland ab und wird derzeit nur 
1x pro Tag aktualisiert. Grund ist, dass ich kein Planet-File vorhalte 
und die Daten daher auch nicht minütlich aktualisiere.


Einige Layer fehlen noch (u. A. Entries & Ambulance Stations) bzw sind 
unvollständig (z.B . Hydranten). Dies wird sich aber nach und nach ändern.


Die Performance ist nicht so doll und manchmal antwortet der in USA 
stehende Server für 30-60 Sekunden nicht, aber mehr ist derzeit nicht 
drin sad

Die Regionen gibt es ja als solche (https://www.region-stuttgart.de/) 
und könnten somit als /boundary=region/ getaggt werden. Dass die auch 
TMC-Tags haben, ist mMn sekundär.


Setze /boundary=region/  und dann ist ruh.

which relation(s) are you talking about? please give us

Looking at some of the adjacent townlands, especially those to the south, some 
seem to have an 'Administrative Boundary' while others have a 'Boundary'. I'm 
not sure what the difference is. I think they definitely need a look.

a list of some examples would be fine.

"countries, their capitals, and their boundaries" :(

https://wambachers-osm.website/boundaries will give you the country
borders - including the *osm id of the admin center*, which is usually
the capital. In a second step you may download the capitals via overpass.

Better than nothing ;)

nach längerer Pause mal wieder eine neue Release:

Viele Interna wurden verbessert, aber für den Anwender sind nur zwei
davon sichtbar (hoffe ich wink)

- Es ist ab sofort für alle Aktionen eine Authentifizieren via OAuth
notwendig. Das ist ein Security Fix. Vorher war die Authentifizierung
per OAuth nur für den Export der Daten notwendig, aber da haben einige
versucht zu trixen.

- Mehr und bessere Fehlermeldungen bei Anwendungsfehlern.

The old coastline (August 2018) is blue and the current coastal line is red.

The affected areas are wetlands, whose "coastline" is very complex. In
my opinion, the problem is that this "coastline" is not static, because
it is a natural runoff that will never be stable. It will look quite

A manually smoothed coastline (better than the one from 2018) would be
appropriate.

Jetzt mal Butter bei die Fische:

Hast du den Export der Boundaries überhaupt ausprobiert? Ich könnte auch
in den Logfiles nachsehen, aber warte erstmal ab.

"Komische" Poly-Files hab ich bei meiner Software übrigens schon lange
nicht mehr erlebt.( muss ca 6-7 Monate her sein, dass es da mal ein
Ticket zu gab)

Was brauchst du denn genau?
- Mehr als eine Grenze auf einem Schlag? No Problem.
- Täglich die aktuellen Grenzen einer Liste? Null Problem, wenn die
Liste maximal 50 Ids einhält. Wenn mehr, dann halt 2 oder mehr Befehle.
- Alle Grenzen eines Landes mit AL4 (z.B. alle Bundesländer von DEU) -
null Problemo.
- oder auch alle AL3 *und *Al4 von Papua-Neuguinea, jede Grenze ein
separates File? 1 Befehl reicht.
- Die Grenzen von DACH als *ein* Polygon, also ohne innere
Ländergrenzen? - kein Problem.

Alles ohne das GUI verwenden zu müssen. Einfacher Batch mit einen
Exportbefehl reicht (wenn du nicht gerade Win10 verwendest, was ich bei
dir aber für unrealistisch halte).

Und natürlich alles bei Bedarf mit frei definierbaren Buffern ohne
Überlappungen.

daher einfach und relativ schnell. Wenn sich aber eine Grenze verändert
haben sollte, kann das (nie wieder angefasste) Poly-File schon mal
falsch sein.

Nein, das ist nicht mehr nötig. Es gibt zig-tausende von
Boundaries-Segmenten, die ungetaggt sind und dennoch sind alle Grenzen ok.

Das wurde auch schon diskutiert, aber wie so oft, weiss ich nicht mehr
wo (im Forum?)

wenn du es unbedingt machen willst (Tagging für die Anwendung!), dann
als separater Way.

Genau deshalb haben wir in DE eine strikte Trennung zwischen
Administrativen und Postalischen Grenzen beschlossen - *und auch
durchgezogen*. Seit dem ist das kein Thema mehr bei uns.

IIRC gab es diesen Beschluss (im AT-Forum) ebenfalls und wurde auch
energisch angepackt. Nur ist das ganze leider eingeschlafen.

Wikidata ist eine Quelle, von denen wir bei OSM definitiv die Finger
lassen sollten. Die Kollegen besorgen sich von überall Daten her, wobei
deren Lizenzen sehr oft nicht berücksichtigt werden. Kurz gesagt: die
klauen schon mal.

Und dadurch werden die Daten nicht legal, bloss weil die in Wikidata stehen.

Klar, das Vermessungsamt benutzt "unsere" OSM-Daten nicht selber, aber
es verwendet die vom NBKG erstellten Kartenebenen. Damit ist das
Vermessungsamt der Auftraggeber und für die Nutzung der OSM-Daten
verantwortlich.

Somit halte ich eine "Ansprache" für durchaus legitim.

I am currently testing my *OSM Path Analyzer*, which is supposed to
recognize redundant admin boundaries among other things.

It checks if there are several border relations with the same structure.
These are usually double admin relations with the same tags and often
the same members.

In Ireland it found the following bugs:

My suggestion: set the "old" rels to /boundary=historic/ and

Yes, 106 is the reason.

what will happen now? if it's a problem, which has been fixed in newer
versions of osmosis, it's my problem.

but what if not? "somebody" has to remove this update from the osc-files.

Kreisfreien Städten ist unterschiedlich lang.

Der AGS von Kreisen hat die Länge 8 und der von Kreisfreien Städten ist
exakt 5 Zeichen lang. Das gilt für ganz Deutschland.

[OSM-talk] Wambachers OSM-Server - Maintenance 15.11.2018

Hi,

on 15.11 an urgent maintenance of the server became necessary.

On 12.11. I lost a 960 GB SSD and the OSM database is currently running
on a degraded raid5; one of 3x960 GB disks is defective and there is
currently no reliability.

I expect today (Thu) the delivery of the replacement disk (once again 
200 € from my private account, because the donation pot is empty *) and
will probably start in the early evening German time with the maintenance.

I will send in the defective disk (has still 8 days of 2 years warranty

[Talk-de] Wambachers OSM-Server - Wartung 15.11.2018

Hi,

am 15.11 ist eine dringende Wartung des Servers notwendig geworden.

Am 12.11. ist mir eine 960 GB SSD "abgeraucht" und die OSM-Database
läuft derzeit auf einem Degraded Raid5; eine von 3x960 GB Disks ist
defekt und derzeit ist keine Ausfallsicherheit mehr gegeben.

Ich erwarte heute (Do) die Lieferung der Ersatzplatte (mal wieder mal
schlappe 200 € aus der Privatkasse, da der Spendentopf leider leer ist
*) und werde wohl am *frühen Abend* mit der Wartung beginnen.

Ich werde die defekte Platte einschicken (hat noch 8 Tage von 2 Jahren
Garantie !) und hoffe, dass die mir ersetzt wird. Sollte das der Fall
sein, werde ich diese als Sparedisk in das Raid5 integrieren, was die
Ausfallsicherheit erheblich verbessert.

Geht doch (für mich) in JOSM ganz einfach:

1: Relation im Relation-Editor öffnen und sortieren

2: fehlende Ways im linken Fenster aktivieren (rot machen)

3: zur Relation hinzufügen (wenn was doppelt ist, motzt Josm und das 
Stück kann man einfach ignorieren)


4: sortieren

5: noch Lücken da? ---> 2

ok, manche Lücken lassen sich aus topologischen Gründen nicht 
schliessen, aber damit muss man halt klar kommen.
