There you will see the translation that I added for Français.

I've noticed that recent featured images don't have the translated
descriptions on their own description page:

http://wiki.osm.org/File:Christmas_Island.png
http://wiki.osm.org/File:HOT-Task-Manager-before-after-minova-kivu-rdc.png

But many (not all) earlier images used to have them:

http://wiki.osm.org/File:Forbidden_city_2012-01_cloudmade-fresh.png
http://wiki.osm.org/File:Tokyo_2012_cloudmade_red.png

I'm unsure whether or not this is related to your edits (is it just a
certain template that needs to be added each time?), but it would be
useful to put them there again imo.

Andrew,

For this week image, I added the translation for Français. It was relatively
easy to do except we have to understand that the +/- is the link to the
translation page. I suggest tha you add a title to this link describing it.

After the tranlation is completed, selecting
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FR:Main_Page, english version of the text
still appears under the image. It persists even if I clean the navigator cache.

No, it doesn't. Indeed it doesn't except leading and trailing whitespace
anymore, but it did before 28th June 2010.

Maybe
maybe what I presented at State of the Map Europe in Vienna can be useful.
This is the presentation
http://www.slideshare.net/napo/mvp-osm
the code is in github
I have to improve, at this moment I do not have much time.
The script stops with the creation of the vectors (inside spatialite)
and not to their representation.
But I think to do so soon.
Any suggestions are welcome.

[1] does show an edit, [2] kan not find the username, probably because
the space is removed before searching.
IMHO it is not very wise to use a space as first or last character in a

Did you read my blog post? http://neis-one.org/2011/08/yosmhm

I specifically mentioned that this is/was not my idea. Further
I explained what are the advantages and disandvatages of my
representations. However, I did not choose the "Image of the

I like the graphical style of your heatmap. Unfortunately it depends on
canvas as well leaves off some details so is not accurate about the
places being edited.

I also consider it sad that a copy is featured image and not the
original site which happened to be mine.
