[Talk-es] national way boundary names and -- caracters
Hellow fellow spanish neighbours ! (First, I'm sorry to write this email in english on a spanish list, but if I try to remember how to speak spanish, that would only be a masacre !) I'm from France and I am currently having an argument with another french guy about how should national (and to some extents, internal) boundaries should be tagged and I'd like your opinion of things and how do you usually do. One of serveral other examples is this : http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/41362407/history This way is one of several ways forming the spanish/french boundary. Has you can see in the history, we have an edit war about tags that should or shouldn't be there, and if we should keep them, what syntax should be used. According to the spanish community (or, the majority of its member in case you are not all agreeing about it ;-) ) what are your prefered practices about names (and internationnal names) on boudaries between france and spain (or between spain and portugal or spain and england) ? about the name beeing there, about the separator caracters between two countries's names ? about the use of it ? The idea behing my request is, should we continue reverting edits of user verdy_p or should we just let it be ? -- sly (sylvain letuffe) http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Sletuffe ___ Talk-es mailing list Talk-es@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-es

Hello, Sylvain. I'm not very sure about what the problem is. I mean, what are you both disagreeing at? And don't worry about your spanish, it would be great to read you in spanish besides an English version. He adds on boudary ways : name:es = espana -- france name:en = spain -- france name:fr = espagne -- france etc. While other think we should either : - add no name at all on boundary ways - or at least don't use -- as separator And don't worry about your spanish, it would be great to read you in spanish besides an English version. So sorry, but it was one year, 20 years ago without practice at all ;-( google translate would be by far better than me ;-) -- sly (sylvain letuffe) http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Sletuffe ___ Talk-es mailing list Talk-es@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-es
