Re: [Talk-hr] Nazivi osm-hr servera
No dijelovi starih mitoloških uvjerenja i poganskih festivala žive i dan danas u toponimima, običajima, pjesmama i pričama svih slavenskih naroda. Među njima postoji i priča o *Perunu* i *Velesu*. There are some positive signs though: wind shear is expected to pick up which will weaken the storm and the waters are not as warm as when Haiyan struck; both positive signs. For us I think the most relevant part of the blog is the following: There is less heat energy available in the ocean for Hagupit, and wind shear is expected to rise to the high range on Friday as strong upper-level winds tear

Hi Mark, This map is manually updated usually soon after someone notices that there is new Bing imagery. Bing never regularly announces that they have added new imagery so if someone notices that there's something new, I or another person will try to update the GeoJSON shapes in the following Github repository: https://github.com/OSMPH/Imagery_Coverage_Map Anyway, updates to this map is always announced on this mailing list. FYI, HOT has formally activated to respond. Priority is pre-mapping potential areas that maybe affected. Details below. -- Forwarded message -- From: Pierre Béland pierz...@yahoo.fr Date: Fri, Dec 5, 2014 at 12:22 PM Subject: [HOT] Typhoon Hagupit / Ruby Activation To: HOT Openstreetmap h...@openstreetmap.org Mark already informed you about the pre-disaster mapping for the typhoon Hagupit / Ruby. Re-evaluating the situation, we have decided to officially announce that HOT activates to support the Philippines government and the international organizations that deploy to help the people of this region. Mark Cupitt and Manin Sambale from the Philippines are the coordinators. They are assisted by Pierre Béland and Andrew Buck from north-america. This will assures a continuous coordination for this Activation. As usual, we have the support from highly engaged contributors from Europe and America. We started yesterday a skype coordination room with OCHA, Red Cross / Red Crescent and various DHNetwork partners. The typhoon is predicted to land in about 26 hours just north of Tacloban. This city was hardlly hit by the typhoon Haiyan a year ago and many people are still leaving in tents a year after this disaster. At this point the exact trajectory and landing point is still incertain and we want to do pre-mapping rapidly. The landing is actually predicted on Samar island. This area was not intensively mapped for Haiyan since we did not have high-res imagery for the area. The HIU unit of the US State department is processing imagery and we should add new task manager jobs soon.

Hi Ilya, It's good to have some people coming to Portugal to do some mapping ;-) As I'm not in the country, I can't welcome you but we've already met at the SOTM-EU, on Saturday night we were eating at the same table. So it's good to hear from you engaging the portuguese community. The country is small and so are the community, but we are great people :-) Personaly I've managed to do 2 meetings in Portugal on August to celebrate OSM's birthday. It's not always easy as the members are far away from each other but it's something I encourage you to try. If Victor is available (I hope is listening) you'll be able to do a meeting in Lisbon. For all the people near Lisbon I'll recomend going to such informal meeting, it's always good to have some outsider view/discussion and Ilya is a well known OSM international member. And in your way to Porto, if you want to stop in some city (for example Coimbra or Aveiro), it will make some other portuguese member less jealous ;-) I'm very interested in this live radio stuff, could you give us some more details ? (Pokud by mě to fungování výrazně víc štvalo, možná bych se do toho bodu 2 i chtěl pustit) Honza Piškvor Martinec ___ Talk-cz mailing list Talk-cz@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-cz

Dobrý večer, úplně sice nerozumíme termínu SO není budovou, ale pokusím se odpovědět :-). O hlášení, že budova fyzicky neexistuje v terénu, určitě zájem máme. Pošleme to editorovi (stavební úřad nebo obec) a ten by měl provést místní šetření a následně konat, tj. vydat rozhodnutí o neexistenci stavby a stavby odstranit z RÚIAN. Re: [Talk-us] State highway refs (was Re: New I.D Feature)
I've been handling the 'four-digit' SR's here in PA another way. Technically, the routes are 'somewhat' signed, but in a way that people wouldn't normally see or pay attention to except in a few places. These routes normally get a little white square box on the sides of the road. [1] They also can 'sometimes' appear on street blades depending on the area. [2] So, what I've been doing is tagging the 4-digit routes with the following tag 'ref:penndot=SR '. (Example [3]) I think that tag works perfectly, especially if somebody wants to add the state route for a bannered highway (US-19 Truck in the North Hills of Pittsburgh is 'SR 4003'). It keeps the info together, plus IMO, works better here since they aren't 'true' unsigned highways unlike in several Western states where you can't find any reference to a US highway on an Interstate most of the time. -James [1] - http://goo.gl/maps/RsXme [2] - http://goo.gl/maps/w0Xoq (While it might be hard to read, that's 'SR 3025' posted on that blade) [3] - https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/19597194 Date: Thu, 4 Dec 2014 14:16:01 -0600 From: ba...@ursamundi.org To: rickmastfa...@hotmail.com CC: talk-us@openstreetmap.org; burke...@gmail.com Subject: Re: [Talk-us] State highway refs (was Re: New I.D Feature) Someone in the Valley Forge area also tagged refs on a LOT of four-digit State Routes that aren't signed...seems like this belongs in a relation with unsigned_ref and the ref should be unsigned_ref. So, while SR 17 is correct, I much prefer CA 17 and will change it to that if I see SR in a California highway route relation ref tag. Yes, usage is different in California. I've only ever seen SR on signage a few times, in rather obscure places. But in Ohio, it's ubiquitous. I agree with what we (as OSM volunteers entering/editing data in our map) now do, as well as what map styles/renderers and routing engines do, as Minh notes above: recognize the state abbreviation, SR or SH. Re: [Talk-us] State highway refs (was Re: New I.D Feature)
Sounds like an analogous situation to the difference between State Highways and State Routes in Oregon. The shields always have the state route, the blade markers at bridges and some milemarkers list both the route and the highway. Not all state highways are members of state routes (since roads in state parks, notably, are state highways, as are most ocean beaches as they're open to vehicles). This kind of lends some strong credence to my opinion that it's time to bury the dinosaur of having route refs on ways, that way the way ref can actually *be* the *actual* reference of the way... and you are correct - I shouldn't have went asshole. I will apologize for using the word. I'm 2000% good with moderation or a ban. I'm happy with it because I did something to hopefully stop the silliness that a percentage of the users exhibit up here. I hope the COC causes some people to think twice...possibly leavebecause the bad behavior will not be tolerated. I was referred here over a similar blowup - I'm looking for my diverse OSM using community. I witnessed the same thing happening again - it shouldn't happen here of all places. Too many times in my OSM life I've run into problems over abusive behavior. I've been on both sides of it - I'm no angel in this by any stretch. I've had well respected users in the community go LOL you know that's just the way fill in the blank is...LOL...Gotta love him/her and excuse the behavior. Well - no I don't have to excuse it. It's inexcusable. Same thing with me calling serge an asshole. Inexcusable. I don't believe this is a personal play ground for a few - although it seems that way far too often. I try to stay involved - and I see these outbursts. I want more people in OSM - But I'm not going to drag them into an environment where this can happen...and is tolerated. I'm fine with a ban/moderation if that falls in line with the COC. It won't be appealed because I know calling someone a name shouldn't be tolerated. In the same way attacking someone over email shouldn't be tolerated or appealed. I had a friend leave OSM due to Serge's outbursts. He was rude to her in person. He was rude to her over email. She's gone. Won't be back. I brought her back into this a second time after the first incident going: LOL you know that's just the way fill in the blank is...LOL...Gotta love him/her. It was Stupid on my part because I knew what would happen...if it happened once it will happen again. Alyssa doesn't need banned or moderated. She responded to an attack. All she deserves is welcomed back. Randy.
