I don't believe I made any non-automatic edits in TX, and those are
already considered clean by the license plugins.

Note also that if you use odbl=clean you need to make sure other edits
in the history are ODbL-clean and as far as I know there's no general
 way to do that.

Technically some of these are 100% manual edits.

Well I just found 8 TIGER name expansion changesets that have a total
of ~113,000 ways in them and weren't listed on the changeset override
page because they didn't have the bot=yes tag. I have added them:

82k ways, so yes, looks like some of the name expansion changesets are
still counted dirty. Simon Poole mentioned on IRC something may be a
little off in his latest stats.

I'm afraid there's a whole lot that can be done to make it reflect
reality better. For starters the page mentions ODbL in the first line
while in fact the stats are based on CT-accpetance which is largely
orthogonal to ODbL compatibility. Accepting current CT version only
confirms to osmf that the data you uploaded is compatible with the
current license. You can't derive ODbL-compatibility from that alone.

hmm? All of balrog-kun's name expansion edits are already considered
clean by license tools. There is no need to tag them as odbl=clean. If
one of the changesets got missed, it should be reported. Are you sure
balrog-kun wasn't just the *last* editor and david lynch is the one
making the object dirty?

Looks like about 4% of Austin was balrog-kun; I'm in the process of tagging

Well I'm making my way down I-35 from Dallas to Waco right now,
processing data I collected over Christmas and license cleaning at the
same time. I would be happy to keep going and do some license cleaning
on down to Austin, especially on the interstates. The city itself is
indeed a pretty big mess :( Looks like mostly one user who has
explicitly declined. Tonight I already remapped a bunch of nodes on a
creek through the city. The way was clean, just a bunch of dirty
nodes.

Anyway, I'm wondering if places like this might be candidates for
TIGER re-imports? The problem of course being that we don't really
have easy to use tools to replace data in place. I just tried
converting Travis county to .osm using the tag translation that Phil
Gold talked about back in January. Unfortunately ogr2osm is kind of
messy in some places since it creates relations and overlapping ways ,
particularly for highway routes but also for other random roads. So
I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it. If someone wants to
take a look, feel free. And feel free to remap things in Austin from
it to help Thea out! Beware that this is a somewhat large file (20 MB)
and JOSM will want a lot of memory to open it and it will still be
slow to render if you are zoomed out very far. Turning on wireframe
mode will help with rendering.
http://ni.kwsn.net/~toby/OSM/travis_tx.osm

I will look at it some more and hopefully do some remapping myself but
my time is somewhat limited.
