Returning to non encrypted state.
Hello, I was just wondering if any one had tried to return to a non-encrypted state after they had used the ver. 3.0.2.10 in the encrypted mode? I was going to use the regular Tools backup. Then reinstall TheBat! Will I be able to use the backup since it will be in the encrypted state? Just curious as I'm about to move to a new machine and want to make sure I have all my options. -- Thanks, Dean 3.0.2.10 Windows 2000 5 2195 Current beta is 3.0.2.10 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello hggdh, A reminder of what hggdh on TBBETA typed on: 04 January 2005 at 23:08:53 GMT +0100 h If I am correct, then what you propose could not work. Your not correct as I've just done the very thing I suggested and had no trouble at all. I transferred my OTFE installation from WinXP to my Linux box after first creating a backup. When I first ran it it asked if I wanted OTFE and I said no. So I converted an OTFE install into a non OTFE install restoring from a backup created with the OTFE install... If you follow. M Otherwise you could easily do what you wish. TF How can I do what I want to do with subfilters in common filters? TF Please describe. Marcus Ohlström described the technique pretty clearly in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]. As I understand the problem, you have a lot of complicated common filters. Since the common filters are evaluated before account filters, you have to specify continue processing other filters for each common filter in order to get to the account filters. So, every message gets evaluated by every common filter, and this overwhelms TB!. Correct? If so, you could prevent this by having a single common filter with the special matching condition Any message. It would have continue processing other filters checked. All of your current existing common filters would become sub-filters of this one, and each sub-filter would have continue processing other filters unchecked. By definition each incoming message would match the common filter, so TB! would begin evaluating the sub-filters. This would continue until one was matched. At this point evaluation of all remaining sub-filters would abort, and since the parent filter allowed subsequent filters, the account filters would be evaluated. If only common sub-filters worked. M Again no, please. As soon as the bug(s) described in: M https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=4021 TF This describes that subfilters in common filters should work.
