Hello Paul,

MDP Releasing an MSI for testing here is only expected. Heck, I'd rather
MDP they did that than just announce 6.5 as a public release without us
MDP ripping it to shreds first!
I guess I should have checked. I made the wrong assumption that MSI's
were automatically used as releases. (Must be something in my past
 life that prompted that).

Oh, yeah, it happened before :((

Invalid Class Typecast with 3.65

2006-01-11 Thread Robert van der Hulst

I am getting the message Invalid Class Typecast when I hit send after
writing a reply to a message, and also when I try to save the message in

When I try to save the reply as draft I get the a AV at address 458BF08B

Has anyone else seen this.
Could this be related to the Outbox Protection that was discussed in this

One more addition

after switching back to 3.64.01 I could see a message counter of 8 messages
in the outbox, but I did not see any messages in the message list.
After doing folder maintenance on the outbox I could see the messages. They
were all identical. Some of them had the draft flag, others not. Apparently
the messages were saved correctly to the Outbox.

I have deleted all but one and could succesfully send that last messages.

Ask him to move %ENCRYPTCOMPLETE to the bottom and see whether it

There is still a problem in TB! v. 3.65.msi (Pro) with Address Book
templates that use Quick Templates with the macro %QINCLUDE= .

I reported this on behalf of a German correspondent of mine in regard
to v. 3.64.03. The template that isn't working for him is:

   -Template
   %QINCLUDE=PrGreeting

   %Cursor

   %QINCLUDE=SigEPr

   %ENCRYPTCOMPLETE
   %LANGUAGE=BR
   %ACCOUNT=Puretec
   -Template

He has sent me a report this morning that v. 3.65 still doesn't work
correctly with respect to templates, QT's and macros.

The only difference in his template for me from the one he uses for
other English-speaking correspondents is the line %ENCRYPTCOMPLETE .

For them, the AB template functions--for them, though, TB! is not
asked to encrypt.

He is using PGP/MIME, if that might be relevant, although my thinking
is that it is not relevant.

TB! will not call this template. Instead, for my address, it calls his
template for German-speaking correspondents in v. 3.65, as it did in
v. 3.64.03.

Note besides, that this AB template for me worked in v. 3.64.01,
before the update to v. 3.64.03. But upon dropping back to v. 3.64.01,
the functioning of his AB template for me remained broken.

Needless to say, we shall both greatly appreciate your help in fixing
this. My correspondent is Dierk Haasis.

I myself found the situation so ambiguous that I went to the
www.ritlabs.com Download page, to be sure that there wasn't a link
there for it.

RL has published .msi releases as full releases in the recent past,
with no notification on TBBETA that this was what was being done.

So I think the confusion is understandable.

I hope that RitLabs will wait to publish beta v. 3.65 until the
testers who have found show-stopping bugs in it and filed issue
reports at BT have confirmed to BT that each of these bugs is either
fixed or explained in a satisfactory way--even if the explanation is
that it's Working As Designed and there to stay, whether the
particular beta-testing reporter likes the design or not.

Re: Large message notification (was: The Bat! v3.65 MSI)

2006-01-11 Thread MAU
Hello Robert,

When someone sends me a nice jpeg picture, the usually think I am on a
T1 line or DSL. So they make the file 2MB and it takes me a half hour
 to download.

So, I have the Account Properties |Mail Management | receive the
headers if the message is larger than 30K bytes.

Thanks for the whole explanation. I never used that option and I guess I
forgot it even existed. Nice feature though for slower connections.

ROTFL :)

Greg, I'm not Leif, but he has posted to TBOT on January 9 that the
server will be down for awhile.

begin copy-and-paste of Leif's post to TBOT
... PCWize will be down for an indeterminate amount of time as
my friend (who hosts my server on their backbone) changes service
providers (which means a new IP). They're doing that today and I'll
