Re[2]: The Bat! 3.86.03 ALPHA

2006-10-24 Thread Goncalo Farias

In reply to mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] :

ASK I just checked... Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs shows TB
ASK installed as 3.85.03 which is the MSI of the latest stable release. I
ASK don't even have the int'l pack installed, always deselected it (the
ASK built-in english interface is enough for me).

ASK Whats really interesting #1 - I don't see the TB installation in the
ASK control panel when I open it with my normal (limited user) work account.
ASK Only when I log in as admin I can see TB in the list of installed
ASK programs.

ASK Whats really interesting #2 - I just started TB in the admin account (by
ASK simply clicking Start / E-Mail, the XP shortcut to the default mail
ASK program) and it loads version 3.0.2.10! I do have that version as
ASK thebat30210.exe in my program files folder, but how does XP find this
ASK version, especially since the installed MSI is 3.85.03?

ASK I'm puzzled!

wrong shortcut?

Re: Problem signing messages

2006-10-24 Thread Maxim Masiutin
I just requested a certificate from Dekart and have problem to use
it with TB 3.86.02. When I try to sign/encrypt message with my
certificate I receive the following message : The certificate is
invalid. Please use another certificate. The revocation status of
the certificate or one of the certificates in the certificate chain
is unknown. The revocation status of the certificate or one of the
certificates in the certificate chain is either off-line or stale..

Could you please add this to the bugtracking database?

A spanish user of TB! asked in the spanish TBUDL for the versions of
 TLS supported in the TB!
The Bat! support TLS 1.0 which corresponds to SSL 3.1.

Re: Wish for Labels: How to assign them to a message (was possibility of assigning more than 1 Colour Group?)

2006-10-24 Thread Martin Schuster
Hello Thomas,

MS But as I think about it: a submenu or context menu would not be very
MS effective when selecting more than one label for a message. Maybe a
MS shortcut could make a popup window (like ctrl-shift-i for memos) where
MS you have a bunch of checkboxes for each of your labels?

Did you see the screenshots MAU attached to
mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ? That looks good to me.

Yes, but as I said: I don't like the thought of having to open a
flip-open menu three times to assign three labels to a message. I'd
prefer to have the menu open with checkboxes or something, or
a solution like assigning addresses to the to box with the rightmost
button (a list with and and and ) that opens on click and
closes on click or on escape keypress.

May it be that they're using a Notes server? I've seen strange things
happening with them...

Please include a signature delimiter in your messages. This consists
of a dashdashspacereturn, i.e., a '-- ' by itself on a line.
This allows your readers, when replying, to quote your text without
the signature and list footers since everything below and including
the sig delimiter is excluded when quoting.

You can easily automate this process by including the sig delimiter in
your templates.

Even if you barely have a signature to speak of, that doesn't make any
difference to whether or not you need a cut mark. You are being
courteous to other readers since at least three lines of text is added
to your signature by the list server.

Some people prefer the mouse, others the keyboard, again others
tickboxes. Once the functionality is implemented, that's only a
question of the GUI, and I would suggest that the feature should be
accessible by all the three ways mentioned.
