Re: Odd Address handling when quoting
As far as I can see if its an account level template then you can set TB! to use the initials on in accountpropertiestemplatesreply or the first name/last name etc. But there seems to be a number of occasions when the standard TB! behaviour gets it wrong, which is why the Initials QT was written. -- Stuart Hemming Using The Bat! v3.86.03 ALPHA (beta) on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Aided by MyMacros 1.11a. Hello Alexander, Hmmm... but then again, if its not about only partially downloading some messages *headers* ... since you know how many messages are on the server, you could just as well only download a portion of them... without downloading all the headers, either... scratching forehead (I just don't know if the sorting is always the same, on my POP3 server msg 1 is always the oldest). That is always the oldest. A mail comes, got an index. 1. Another comes, index 2. etc. I told you that it is possible to download X message only. Just think about the mail dispatcher. That does the same thing. Apply different stuff to different messages. That would be done here, too. -- Vili Current ALPHA is 3.86.03 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello Vili everyone else, on 08-Nov-2006 at 21:00 you (Vili) wrote: I told you that it is possible to download X message only. OK, you'll get a beer! ;-) Just think about the mail dispatcher. That does the same thing. Apply different stuff to different messages. That would be done here, too. But Peter's problem with the mail dispatcher is that it downloads all message headers prior to selecting a few to download and as Roelof pointed out, the message headers may be a major portion of the entire data that needs to be transferred. With TOP msg n you could retrieve just a selected number of the message headers - and the MD contains an option that makes use of that command (download n number of the message body with the headers) already. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de) The Atomic Bomb is a paper tiger...Terrible to look at, but not so strong as it seems. -- Mao Tse-Tung Current ALPHA is 3.86.03 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hallo Alexander, On Wed, 8 Nov 2006 18:58:26 +0100GMT (8-11-2006, 18:58 , where I live), you wrote: ASK Yes. Shouldn't make a difference if a program automatically issues the ASK commands one by one. So Peter's wish could come true. One problem though. When you decide to download the last 300 messages, you could be picking up messages that have been downloaded previously. What's the exact mechanism that TB uses to decide what messages have been downloade? Does it use the headers for that? -- Groetjes, Roelof And those who lack the courage say it's dangerous to try. http://www.voormijalleen.nl/ The Bat! 3.86.03 ALPHA (beta) Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 1 pop3 account, server on LAN OTFE enabled P4 3GHz 2 GB RAM pgpmSOt50DSF1.pgp Description: PGP signature Current ALPHA is 3.86.03 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
