I may need a lesson then since I had this warning once before and DID
do something about it. I installed the Plain text editor as a button
and it SEEMS to be changing the message to plain text. If it was in
HTML to begin with I have to delete the attachment

This message was composed with the plain text - micro ed editor
Is it coming through correctly? (non-HTML?)

Yup. You need to fix your delimiter though.

TB enables you to use address book templates for single address book
entries or for address book groups.
You could create such an address book template set for this list and
use the %SetEditor=1 macro in those templates, that will set the
editor to MicroEd automatically.

RG This message was composed with the plain text - micro ed editor
RG Is it coming through correctly? (non-HTML?)

Yep

RG --

You should change your signature delimiter from dash, dash, enter to
dash, dash, space, enter, the difference is that TB excludes
everything under the proper cutsign when you're quoting a message and
it won't do so with a false cutsign.
You'll see that difference when you try to reply to your messgae and
to mine.

PocoMail is missing from this list (it is a major player)

At least it could be. Like many others, it is far from living up to
what appears to be its potential. Also worthy of mention is Becky.
Maybe even Gemini.

The most comprehensive list I know of is here:

Please include a signature delimiter in your messages. This consists
of a dashdashspacereturn, i.e., a '-- ' by itself on a line.
This allows your readers, when replying, to quote your text without
the signature and list footers since everything below and including
the sig delimiter is excluded when quoting.

You can easily automate this process by including the sig delimiter in
your templates.

Even if you barely have a signature to speak of, that doesn't make any
difference to whether or not you need a cut mark. You are being
courteous to other readers since at least three lines of text is added
to your signature by the list server.

To find out why these MOD messages are posted to the list instead of
private mail, please read the welcome message you received when you

Thank you.

but dammit I purposely left off ending the message to avoid being trouted
and yet there it is even the last line of a message attacked for non-
delimitation.

are these trout messages being generated by a machine they appear
relentlessly at all hours always the same message firm but polite moderators
names selected at random. They're too steady and regular to be human. I for
one do not like being corrected by a machine remember what happened to HAL
