CC problem

2008-07-01 Thread Vili
You have to help me out here. User reported a problem, I reproduced
and I am in trouble too :))

So:
- backup your HKCU/Software/RIT key first :)
- set to show CC always
- pull up the divider between the details and the processes in CC, so
you dont see the processes anymore
- ask to download mails for one of your account
- after this, you cannot pull down the divider between the processes
and the details (server, status, time), even if the cursor shows that
you drag onto the divider...

I think, the RIT/The bat!/CC columns key stores the info how the CC
should look like, but it is binary... Can someone send me this key in
private? Thanks.

Solution for the CC problem

2008-07-01 Thread Vili
As I cannot answer to my own mails:

 - pull up the divider between the details and the processes in CC, so
you dont see the processes anymore
 - ask to download mails for one of your account
 - after this, you cannot pull down the divider between the processes
and the details (server, status, time), even if the cursor shows that
 you drag onto the divider...

I just found the solution a minute ago: the RAS Task Height key
contains the height of that task/process panel. I set it back to 120
pixel, so it is ok now.

yes, now seems Editor, Addressbook and Finder are opened on monitor, where

But something happened with speed, because in dual-monitor environment,

When writing messages, always use characterset.

That is an option you can check when adding a new group in the addressbook.
But after checking, there is no characterset to choose from.

Had the same problem with the previous version. Just forgot to mention it.
 Been quite busy.

After creating the new group in the addressbook, when people are added to it,
then the option starts to work. But you can't set it from the start. And my
guess would be that THAT is what you want: set a basic standard for a new
 group, right?

Power Outage Destroyed Operation of Common Filters

2008-07-01 Thread Bill McCarthy
I posted this to the User Discussion List, but this could be
a beta issue - I'm running 4.0.24.24:

Hello TB User Discussion List,

Sunday, I added several new sorting office incoming filters to my
usual account. I failed to shut down TB after doing this and just
left my computer in Stand By mode over night.

We had a power outage Monday while my computer was on (it lasted
longer than the battery). When I restarted, every seemed fine until I
tried a Read messages filter from the Common Filters account.
Ctrl-Shift-X, which normally deletes a message both locally and on the
server, didn't work.

When I checked my sorting office, I noticed that the new (added
Sunday) incoming filters filters were missing! I then checked the
Common Filters - there were my new filters from my account. I moved
them, one at a time, from the Common Filters to my account. I had to
close and open TB each time or I received an unrecoverable error
message and had to shut down TB with Task Manager.

Now my Common Filters have this odd structure. I've rebooted WinXP to
no avail.

Incoming mail
Outgoing mail
Moving In Hooks
Selective Download
Read messages
Replied messages
Outgoing mail
Read messages
Replied messages
Selective Download

Note that all the high level filters (except Incoming mail) are
repeated in Incoming mail along with Moving In Hooks and there are
not in there normal sorted order.

I can add, say, a Read messages filter to Common Filters - but it
doesn't work.

How can I fix my Common Filters so they work again?

Thanks for listening.

The Bat Imap for me has been slowly improving over the past couple of

messages that don't load, no necessity to shut The Bat down because it
has stopped responding to Imap commands.

Right now, I would say that TB has the best Imap anywhere, including
Thunderbird and Mulberry.

But I do use server side filters.
