Guten Tag The Beta,

in one of my Accounts, hundreds of Mails disappeared after Upgrade
from 4.2.18 to 4.2.23. It is not possible to restore them with Backup.

It is not urgent, because most of them are Advertising, but i'd like
to know, if they are lost oder hidden (still in the MsgBase?).

you can make it thinner by hovering with the mouse over the right

1. IMO it should be thinner by default. This bold line is just awful!

2. The plain-text part should include the for quoted text, too.

Filters not working correctly

I have 2 filters, one account filter that sorts mail into common folders and
then a common filter that moves all remaining mail to a common folder inbox.
This has always worked correctly

Now the account filter sorts a copy of the mail to the correct folder AND the
(final) common filter is also putting a copy in the common inbox folder (making
a mess)

[The Bat! 4.2.23] Inconsistent Handling of Folder Selection

2010-01-25 Thread Volker Ahrendt
Moin, folks!

Every now and then I come across this inconsistence. In The Bat! there
are several dialogs where you can specify for which folders the
regarding setting shall be applied.

In some dialogs¹ the behavior is like this: Clicking a folder in the
folder tree only checks that specific folder, a [ctrl]+click checks
the folder and all subfolders. And in some other dialogs² the behavior
is vice versa.

¹) - Setup Message List Tab = List (•) Specified folders
   - Virtual Folder Properties = [Select folders]

²) - Folder|Maintenance Centre…

And the third type is the Find messages dialog:

- Clicking top-level folder (account name) with or without [ctrl]
makes no difference, i.e. always all subfolders are checked, too

- Clicking a subfolder (inbox etc.) behaves like ¹)

I would like to have just one consistent behavior and that is:

- clicking top-level folder checks the folder and all subfolders
- a [ctrl]+click only checks that specific folder

What’s your opinion?

Cheers!

Well, making it thinner is better than not being able to change it at all
(except for switching to plain text)!

I didn't know that, neat. I agree it should be thinner by default. Now let me
test whether the bug has been fixed in which the editor window scrolled when we
reched the end of the screen rather than making a soft line break. Seems to
have been fixed.

you can make it stand out too :)

I do not know if this really is intended ? ;-)

It can be useful in some business contexts... ;-)
