access violations
I have not been able to use TheBat since beta 45 due to constant access violations or abrupt program terminations. It has taken me three days to reach the point where I could turn off the automatic checking of mailboxes at startup, and I don't have the time for another week to do systems work, so I am looking for help now in temporarily exporting my messages and address books to Mozilla Firebird. Firebird can import messages from: Communicator 4.x, Eudora, Outlook and Outlook Express, and address books from: Eudora, Outlook, Outlook Express and text files such as LDIF, .tab, .csv, and .txt. How do I go about it? Email security tests
I want to warn you about a company called GFI. This company offers to test your email security on this page: http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/ and leaves a program on your computer that keeps placing a message in your inbox with Eicar.com test-virus, presumably until you buy their program. It is a sleazy way of doing business and I want to warn everybody against this company.
