I've always run Microsoft TLS crypto on TB, no issues.
My mail server now uses Lets Encrypt for SSL certs for the various domain mail
it handles.
TB connection logging showed that the LE cert changed at a certain time, from a
cert good for
six months, or 90 days, I forget which, to a cert good for 20 years. When that
happened, TB stopped TLS-ing
with the M'soft default. Switching to TB option, all is good now.
Just thought the developers might want to know this Lets Encrypt behavior in
regards to TB.

U now. Hopefully forever.

Re: Plug-ins (was: Update on the Beta work for The Bat - Calendar function)

2021-03-19 Thread Stuart Pye
Hello Stefan,

Enhancements needed, for interacting with calendars: attached picture is what
needs to be covered.
Outlook is your main opportunity, as you know, to carve out a teeny market
share from ordinary users on Win 10,
as well as commercial users that have to interact with M'soft Active Directory
environments, without
being forced to use Outlook. Also, the requested calendar-posting capabilities
needed will cover users
having to work with Teams, Zoom, etc. So, Google calendar, Outlook/Exchange
calendar entries, and iCal entries
covers most of the bases that really matter.

Is it possible to add Junk mail to the Pre-defined IMAP folders, like Outbox,
Sent mail and Trash. In some accounts I seem to have 3 or 4 Junk mail choices
and they all seem to show Junk mail depending on what determines its Junk. For
example in one account I have a Junk Mail folder, a [Gmail]/Spam folder and a
mail/spam.incoming folder.

Junk mail folder

2021-02-04 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello TBB,

Just wondering if anyone, specifically Ritlabs, has any idea why a folder
cannot be specified for Junk mail in IMAP settings. We can choose to specify
the Sent mailbox, the Trash mailbox and the Outbox, but not Junk mail.

With a gmail account I get a TB! Junk Mail folder, a [Gmail]/Spam folder and a
mail/Junk folder.

Freeze while using Smokey Quartz Kamri

2021-02-01 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello TBB,

Since themes came out I have been using Smokey Quartz Kamri. I and some others
have been having an issue where at random times TB! freezes and does not
respond. By clicking away to another program and then coming back to TB! it
starts working again.

I think I have figured out the pattern. If, while reading an email that is
fairly long and should have a scroll bar, sometimes the scroll bar does not
appear correctly. An arrow appears at the top, but no arrow at the bottom and
no scroll bar. If I read the email by scrolling using my mouse button it works
fine, but if I move my mouse
to the Right side of the screen it freezes.

Can anyone confirm?

Thankyou for that. I thought that maybe because I could not see unread messages
on the takbar icon that it would correspond with no Unread messages in the Mail
ticker, but that does not seem to be the case as I still have nothing on the

Further to this. I do not normally use the Mail Ticker for messages, but when I

The pop up of hypertext links in HTML mail seems to be working better, but
still
inconsistent. The font seems to change for each link although that may be based
on the underlying code. It would be nicer to use a basic non serif font.

Also it is not consistent in how it comes up on the screen. Sometimes showing
up
partially off screen.

I notice, with the current version, that when hovering over a link in an HTML
message that the link will show the underlying address. It does seem a bit
inconsistent though as sometimes it shows up beside the cursor and sometimes at
the bottom of the screen, and others not at all. Confirmations?

Much better, but it used to be that when you pressed the Esc key it would
first
delete what you had just typed then a second push would remove the Quick
Search. Kind of liked the old way, but could live with the new way.

Highlight text in HTML message.
Copy using Ctrl-C
Open new mail.
Paste using Ctrl-V
It still pastes the last thing you copied, not the one from HTML message.

I have an issue with copying from and HTML message.

Copy a piece of text from an HTML message. Try to paste it into another
document (another email will do). I get the last thing copied not the new thing.
If I select the same text and use it to create a reply I can then copy and
paste
this.

Confirmations?

OK, I think I just solved the problem. By default in the last version of TB! I
had set the HTML viewer to The Bat Internal Viewer. It seems to save that
setting so when you go into the new version, the internal version was
displaying
and there were no pictures downloading. And there is no way in the new version
to change to the External viewer.
I went back into the old version and made the change to the external viewer and
now it is used in the new version by default.
