Hi Maxim.

I'd like to make one minor suggestion in this regard.

IMO the tab navigational controls might be more convenient to the user if they were on the right side.

If user is clicking along msg tabs, for example, it would be from left to right so when user gets to last tab on right side, it would make sense to click the directional arrow to continue revealing new tabs.

But I guess the reverse argument could be made for going backwards. Nevertheless, I think it's worth a look.

Rc3-4-5-6-7 same problem for me - FIXED !!

2005-05-11 Thread Jan Rifkinson
Miguel, Mary,

The problem is now fixed. What I'm about to explain does not make any
sense to me but I'll tell you exactly what happened preceeding the
appearance of the missing icons.

I went into account properties clicked verbose log they appeared.

Because it was soo very weird, I unchecked verbose the icons
remained.

Makes no sense to me but that's what happened.

Thanks for taking the time to pursue the matter with me.

there is a plug-in, but I never tested it.

PH I did test it and it works only good if you never move messages to other
PH folders before reading them. You have to set up incoming and read filters
PH to maintain the correct number. If you move an unread message to another
PH folder and then read it, the plugin looses track, unless you apply the
PH same read-filter to every folder you have.

PH It's a nice start, but could use some major inprovement.

Moving off

2004-09-03 Thread Jan Rifkinson
As a courtesy to all of you who have helped me over the years, a
short note of thanks to say that I'm taking a break from TB! for
a variety of reasons.

The recent beta/new version/licensing bruhaha sort of turned me
off, but more important to me, I wrote two polite requests for
information from RIT labs I've rcvd no response. Not that I
expect RITLabs to answer every post sent to them but I do expect
that the reasonable questions I asked, should be answered in some
form. That didn't happen.

Not big deal but, like many of you, these are very active lists
require fair amount of time to read/respond sometimes throw in a
helping hand for another user or even to report a bug or two or
three... to RIT Labs so they can improve the product.

My feeling is if they don't have time to respopnd a couple of
simple questions, then I don't feel right spending my time on
their behalf either.

There are a # of other email clients on the market now that are
lapping at TB!'s heels. Most of us don't use all of TB!'s powers
anyway, or at least, I don't.

So take care.

I think I'll play with Poco now.

wrote the following in regards to Testing my colour settings. Sorry:

RW No it's definitely broken in this BETA
RW So I'll see what happens with this version 6.

Hi Richard.

I'm cautious but I think it is finally working right in beta 6.

color group tab

2004-08-16 Thread Jan Rifkinson
Battyfolk,

Could someone tell me when a message is 'normal', i.e. what does
this mean. It's not un-read because there is a tab for that. Maybe
it would make more sense to have these tabs be un-read read.

So, for example, user could see un-read colored msg once, read it
could change to strike out font or whatever.

I don't get it the way it is now or maybe I'm just missing the
  whole point.

  Anybody? Comments?

RW On Mon, 16 Aug 2004 you wrote in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

RW I've now changed it so that the messages move to the
RW folder and we'll see.

RW No, still only marking as my messages when read and the Colour group
RW settings are correct. I'd better stop now before I get flamed for
RW wasting bandwidth and will just have to live with it. At least the
RW colour group works on read messages so I can easily go hunting for my
RW own ones.

Richard, don't worry about being flamed. The list is for help.

Remember, the position of filters also has to do with the efficacy.
Also where you insert the filter. I don't know how new/old you are to
TB! so don't get insulted if you think I'm talking down to you as I'm
not. Try the following steps:

- Open your filter list
- Make sure your filter my msg filter is under incoming mail, i.e. *not*
under read mail.
- If it is under read mail, delete it.
- Put your cursor on Incoming Mail
- Right click mouse, select 'New'
- Add all your addresses under headers or sender
- From Available Actions, select the color group of your choice
- Move this new filter to the top of the filter list so it's the first
thing that TB! sees.
- If you want your own msgs to end up in a folder *other than* the
inbox, make sure you click continue filtering under options so TB!
put's it where you want it.

If the above doesn't work, then your guess is as good as mine. Maybe
someone else will have a better idea.

That's it from my end.

HTH

2004-08-16 Thread Jan Rifkinson
Battyfolk,

The original message window doesn't seem to remember its size. Is
there a setting that I've missed? Anyone? Thank you.

action change msg to color group

2004-08-15 Thread Jan Rifkinson
Battyfolk,

OK, finally I conclude that the subject action does not occur *until*
a msg is read even though the action is assigned to incoming mail.
Sort of defeats the purpose seems like a bug to me. How about you?
