Re: 4.0.14.4: Erroneous dates display

2008-02-22 Thread MAU
Hello Uwe,

Addendum (maybe it helps): It's only one virtual folder that shows
 these strange creation dates/times.

Do have some View Mode assigned to this folder? Have you tried to
select it in the folder tree, right click and Refresh?

I tried all that. But when I switched to a threaded view I found what
happens.

The folder is my (virtual) 'ignore' watch folder for newsgroups.
Whenever I choose a message in one of my subscribed newsgroups to
Watch replies in ... then this message is shown in the virtual
folder without a date no matter how old this message is. The replies
which are automatically added to the folder are shown with a date
unless they are from today.

How come?

What threaded view? By Reference, by Subject or Reference+Subject?
Because there is a difference.

It doesn't matter. Threaded view (by reference) just gave me a hint
when this happens. I finally unchecked Display time for today's
messages in the Preferences (was t only), and then checked it
again. Then everything was corrected. But this just cures the
symptom, not the reason.

Thanks for your patiences, I will watch it and see what happens the
next days.

4.0.14.4: Erroneous dates display

2008-02-21 Thread Uwe Steinfeld
Hello,

sometimes (not exactly reproducible) the created column shows only
the time instead of date-time.

See attached screenshot: it's in Generic View Mode and correctly
sorted by date created. But in two rows the date is not displayed.

IIRC this is not new, I've already seen it several versions ago.

 Any confirmations?

no, this is a feature, todays messages are displayed with time only, You
can change this in Preferences dialog, Date/Time section.

No, Marek, the message dates are all February 19, i.e., 2 days ago.
The messages in the screenshot are correctly ordered by date/time.

You didn't get me. The message in the screenshot that shows creation
time 20:11 has the header line

Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2008 20:11:28 +0100

That was Tuesday! I have taken the screenshot this evening (after
installing 4.0.14.4). So it should display date *and* time.
