Hello Andreas, With the message list pane in focus hit CTRL-] The limitation with that combination is that it is only valid within the particular folder. So when there are no new messages in the current folder, that keystroke won't do anything. Also, if you have the preview pane in focus, CTRL-] does nothing. I'm not sure why the focus matters for this particular shortcut, but it does. I just realized that you actually open the messages to view them. In that case CTRL-] will work from in the message body. It is when you are using the preview pane that it doesn't work from in the message body. I don't know why there is this discrepancy. -- Thanks for writing, Januk Aggarwal [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! 1.42 Beta/19 under Windows 98 4.10 Build A -- -- View the TBBETA archive at http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double-click HERE: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBBETA, double-click HERE: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org

Hi Andreas, On 22 April 2000 at 02:24:55 GMT -0700 (which was 10:24 where I live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject of "Another BIG wish!": I am fairly new to The Bat so I don't know if maybe this is already possible as I might not have yet discovered it: When I am reading a message, I would like to have the possibility to switch to the next UNREAD message by just pressing a key. So when there are no new messages in the current folder, that keystroke won't do anything. Further to this, it might be an idea to look at the ticker. When you open new mail from the ticker, a "virtual folder" is compiled which comprises *all* of the new messages regardless of folder. In this mode, you can navigate through all new mail by simply pressing the space-bar repeatedly. This functionality does not suit everyone, but it's worth a look if you're new here. It's one of TB's more unique and endearing (IMHO) features. -- Cheers, .\\arck Marck D. Hi, Januk, on Saturday, April 22, 2000, 11:33:13 AM, you wrote: Hello Andreas, With the message list pane in focus hit CTRL-] This doesn't work. I use the german keyboard layout, so CTRL + ] actually means CTRL + ALT+9. It doesn't work either way. :-( Take care, Andreas -- Visit my homepage: http://www.andreas-schwartmann.de "Old love, leave me alone.
