Re: CSAPI user dictionaries not available - my workaround
Hello MAU, I can't really say to all languages. But I could not get any of the user dictionaries for the three above mentioned languages to work. And they all work with v3.99.29. MAU, I should learn to read...you were talking about *user dictionaries*...I thought you meant the dictionaries as such. *negg slaps his forehead* Sorry for wasting your time... -- Martin TB! 4.0.11 on Windows XP 5.1 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 4.0.14.1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: CSAPI user dictionaries not available - my workaround
Hello MAU, As you may know, I've been using CSAPI dictionaries for years and 'compiled' user dictionaries both for Spanish and British English. Up to version 3.99.29 everything works but, as I have reported in BT https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=6735 CSAPI user dics are not working for any of the 4.x versions. I am not sure if I misinterpret the whole thing, but as I reported in Set default spell check language or use Makro on TBUDL (mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) I believe that I don't have any other german spellchecker installed beside the CSAPI one, and it seems to work. Are you sure that CSAPI user dics are not working for any of the 4.x versions. applies to all languages? -- Martin TB! 4.0.11 on Windows XP 5.1 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 4.0.14.0 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Yes, the German dictionary should work. I have only tested with British English, Italian and Spanish and they all work. I don't see why German shouldn't. CSAPI user dictionaries not available - my workaround
Hello all, As you may know, I've been using CSAPI dictionaries for years and 'compiled' user dictionaries both for Spanish and British English. Up to version 3.99.29 everything works but, as I have reported in BT https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=6735 CSAPI user dics are not working for any of the 4.x versions. In case it is of any help for other CSAPI users, I've found and am using this workaround: - I have added Hunspell dictionaries for both languages. - Since I don't want to use both CSAPI and Hunspell dictionaries for the same language, specially for Spanish, I have edited the *.dic files and deleted everything but the first line (some numeric code). - Via Spell Checker/Dictionaries, I selected the Hunspell *.udc user dictionaries and Imported the corresponding CSAPI one. - And it works!. The CSAPI dictionary along with Hunspell user dictionary are used for spell checking. The only limitation is adding new words, which is a bit cumbersome. Right clicking on a misspelled word and selecting 'Add to dictionary' will add it to the SSCE one. I have to select the word, copy (Ctrl+C) it, on the menu select Spell Checker/Dictionaries, paste the word in Word, select the dictionary from the drop down list and click on 'Add word'. As I say, a bit cumbersome. But what the heck! I only add 4 or 5 words per minute! ;-) -- Best regards, Miguel A.
