Re: Can't change the subject? -changed the subject -and so did I!
Hello Richard, Saturday, September 6, 2003, 10:55 GMT -0400: Awash in controversy, Richard M. Newman [RMN] proclaimed: RMN I have exactly the same problem with 2.00 %SUBJECT I seem to remember the suggestion that one should use the SetHeader macro. I could be wrong, but it should be something like: %SetHeader(Subject, new subject) RMN Plus some other standard macros that no longer work. No one RMN else seemed to care! What standard macros are you referring to? If you're talking about the templates in the macro repository, any recursive template will not work in the current version. However, soon after the first beta with the new engine came out, the recursive templates were updated on this list. I know Marck has been thinking about how to incorporate the new templates into the repository. I think he's basically decided how it should look, now the only questions I see are: when it will happen and how much help he needs to do it all. -- Thanks for writing, Januk Aggarwal Current beta is 2.00.06 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

MT Seems to work for me with 2.00... A And for me as well... no problems changing subject at all. It could A be something in a reply template somewhere that's over-riding what A you're putting in... I already replied that the way the templates work changed in this latest version. Try to put this into your reply template, for example: %Subject=Re: %SetPattRegExp=(?i)\A\:?(\s*(re|ref.|res|rcpt|fwd|fw|enc)(\[\d*\])?:\s*)*(.*)%RegExpBlindMatch=%OSubj%SubPatt=4 You won't be able to change the subject unless you type something in the message body, and then go back to the subject field. The very same templates work perfectly well with version 1.63r. Try it and you'll see the new problem.
