I don't see that problem, after all its your own responsibility what you
click/open/save. If you don't have a virus scanner and receive a virus in
an email message, TB can't keep you from clicking saving the malicious
attachment either.

TB could pop up a warning message for dangerous file types, just like the
one you see when you click on a local attachment.

Preliminary TB! Help File PDF

2005-05-10 Thread Dennis Hays
Batty Folk

As promised, I have uploaded a very preliminary PDF file (04
April 2005) showing some of the changes and additions to the
Help file Dierk Haasis and I have been working on.

This file shows new content towards the front of the PDF and
older, pre-existing content further back.

It's approximately 851kb and in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. There
are no security options enabled (as far as I know) and you can
feel free to print it, if desired (211 pages).

The final version is scheduled to be delivered to RITLabs as an
Help and Manual HM3 file:

which will export all the various help formats. RITLabs will
export the needed file(s) and use them in subsequent builds of
TB!

Feature request for saving web contents (was: Preliminary TB! Help File PDF)

Well ... TB! doesn't load any web content into a message (i.e. no
graphics, or whatever is referenced from a remote source), why should
it implement a HTTP and FTP driven (which would be the minimum for a
'Save target as' function) downloader? I see the idea behind this
feature request (especially for PDF files which, opened in a browser
window, can be a PITA if one want's them as a local copy on the
harddrive). But at the same time I see the can of worms that's opened
with implementing HTTP functionality: the immediate request for
please load pictures into message follows, and I don't think The
