Hello Nick,
After extensive testing I can confirm the following:
If while you're editing a message an auto mailcheck takes place, the
message you're editing will just sit in the outbox and will not be
sent. If you send the message before an autocheck happens the message
will be properly sent.
This is completely reproducible without fail for me.
This is using MAPI protocol only. I've not noticed this with any other
setting.
I think it was Vili that first mentioned this, can anyone else using
MAPI confirm?
It was you, who said, that messages are not sent :) I just noticed it
and made link between not sending the mail and the mail check process.
Anyway: I DO confirm, that if I want to send a mail WHILE mail check
is in progress, it is not sent, will be put into the Outbox. I dont
have automatic save checked, but I have Confirm immediate send
checked, so I have to click Yes, before a mail is really sent.
I set automatic mail check for 3 sec, and I hit the Yes, while it was
checking for incoming mails. My mail was put into the Outbox and never
sent...
I think, that the problem is that when we try to send a mail, TB!
checks if MAPI connection is alive or not, and if yes (while it checks
for new mails), it does not open a new connection for sending, so
it does not send the mail, just put into the Outbox. And as there is no
Combined delivery for MAPI, that mail will be a dud :)
Write a BT, I will support it.
