Miguel wrote... Greg Strong may remember but that was the behaviour of Virtual Access, our good old VA. If you replied to a message and there was text highlighted that text would be quoted and, if there was no text selected, then the whole message text would be quoted. And as far as I can recall, no one ever complained about that behaviour. Why then have so many keyboard shortcuts, shift clicks, Ctrl+Shift clicks and whatever? All is needed is a 'Reply' and a 'Reply to All' This was one of VA's strengths. This should be the way The Bat! operates too - nice and simple ;-) As you already state, why would you highlight part of a message if you were to quote all. Surely by selecting text you are making a statement of intent - I want to perform an action on this text. Hello Tony, This was one of VA's strengths. This should be the way The Bat! operates too - nice and simple ;-) One of the _many_ strengths in VA. It was certainly a great program for many years, it's too bad development was stopped. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello Tony, Oooops! Clicked Send before completing my reply. As you already state, why would you highlight part of a message if you were to quote all. Surely by selecting text you are making a statement of intent - I want to perform an action on this text. Won't you add that as a supporting note to: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=2486 ? -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello MAU! On Wednesday, November 09, 2005, 2:51 PM, you wrote: As you already state, why would you highlight part of a message if you were to quote all. Just want to mention that I added my support to this wish--once more, as I've been monitoring it--and also put another supporting note at http://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=243 when I got an e-mail from that page (which I'm also monitoring) about your link to page 2486 in regard to this wish. I can't imagine why anyone would object to having quoting selected text in a Reply be automatic behavior. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat 3.62.14 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 3.62.14 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
