 An example

This has been one of my customers :-)

I have a lot of such HTML Mails, but if you compare the sitation now and
the previous, it is clear that in the past only some HTML Mails where
readable, where as i would say now: Most of the Mails are readable, only
a few problems with
- font sizes
- not loading images du to CSS styles
- Small Lines, Fat Blocks hanging around, but do not disturb

Over all i would thank the RITLABS Guys for their good work,
i did sent them a selection of 36 Mails of me, which all have more or
less Problems to 100% display.

I am sure, this will be fixed soon.

You can Help, if you export your Mail to UNIX Mailbox Format and give it
to Maxim or Stefan (best to place it on a Webserver and send a link to
it).

You cannot convince a new user to accept that most of the HTML mails
are rendered correctly. Never mind the technical problems, users just
expect that *all* of their newsletters are shown correctly, as this is
what they get from competing products.

Ritlabs cannot survive with only us enthusiasts - they need new buyers
all the time, in order to pay their rent.

I can, because i know, the HTML Interface is pretty new.

The equal discussion is already been declared a dead horse, because the
benefits of the Bat are not to display HTML, this is new and has to be
developed.

Regardless of if i would have made it in another way, i have the
knowledge and overview to declare, that RITLABS did their best, they
could, as far as i see.

Hm, i am afraid, but normally i can not explain, how the have survived
over the last Years without an Upgrade fees for registration for a
technically very imposant E-Mail Client.

Maybe they dont want to code for the public people, or maybe they dont
see what is important and what not?

This is all not in my accountableness...

HTML mail has been around for many many years. Until about 10 years
ago, I was also against it, but that is like being against bad
weather. It happens, and users find that several email clients render
their HTML newsletters correctly but TB! doesn't. And it's not new to
TB! anyway, Ritlabs has been working on HTML rendering for many years.

Never mind the technical problems, users just expect that *all* of
their newsletters are shown correctly, as this is what they get from
 competing products.

OK, let's skip the general discussion and concentrate on developing
the HTML rendering engine to a perfect module within TB!. It doesn't
help to say it doesn't work correctly, but never mind. You have to
keep the competition in mind, and even if TB! has more functions and
features than other clients, people want to read the newsletters they
have subcribed to on purpose.

One of my staff uses TB! and Outlook in parallel - there are many
things (for example HTML) that Outlook simply does better and he
doesn't want to miss it.

True again, I don't know that either. And they won't tell us. ;-)
