I tried that, but it's not the same. I have a SpamCop account for
forwarding spam and in case of html mails they want the complete html
source code which I only get in the Mail Source window.

Sorry for the "broken" html message, I had an error in the
configuration :(

If you forward the mail like this, aren't you sent a message with a
URL taking you to a page where you process the spam message and send
the complaints?

I usually just initially connect to the site and copy/paste from the
source window.

What about this:
1. Press F9 on received spam.
2. Press Ctrl+A.
3. Press Ctrl+C.
4. Press F9 again.
5. Paste (Ctrl+V) it in the message to spamcop or create a template
for those messages (%Quotes='%Clipboard' or just %Clipboard).

Yeah, but if I don't send the complete mail with html source code I
get an error message "we cannot process the spam, please send complete
source code"

Sure, that's the way I'm currently doing it, but it's still a little
complicated, also I would like to create a filter rule for doing that
and of course I can't do that then.

I think Allie means the webpage where you can paste the complete
message (including headers) to process the spam. I do it this way too.
I just copy the whole message from the message source (F9) to the
page and the spam is processed.

The way I've always done it is to go to the spamcop reporting page and
copy/paste the spam message from the source viewer. I then hit
'process spam' and then hit the report button when it's processed.

I decided to try the mail forwarding method, hoping that it would
prevent my having to visit the spamcop webpages. However, all the mail
forwarding does is prevent your having to do is copy and paste the
message directly into the web page. In fact it turns out to be more of
a hassle that way than the complete web based approach.

Re: Macro for including message source

2002-01-03 Thread Jan Rifkinson

Hello Malte.

At 8:46 AM on Thursday, January 03, 2002 you wrote the
following on the posted subject 'Macro for including
message source':

Malte> [...] it's still a little complicated, also I
Malte> would like to create a filter rule for doing

  How about the following?

Create a special folder (could be a common folder)
  name it SPAMcop (for example)

  Filter spam to this folder

  Create a QT that includes:

  %HEADERS
  %TEXT
  %CLEAR
%ACCOUNT='the account you are registered with'
  %TO="spamcop address"
  %SUBJECT="whatever" (or not)

Save template & add handle named spam'

  In folder properties/reply template include:

  %QINLCUDE="spam"

Then select message you want to send to spamcop from
  the spamcop folder.

  Use CTRL-Enter key to reply

Above template should do the following automatically.

  (1) address email to spamcop
  (2) add subject of your choice (or not)
  (3) clear anything from default reply template
  (4) paste the headers in the body of the msg
  (5) paste the text of the original msg in the body

Then all you have to do is send it.

  Two steps:

  CTRL-Enter
  Send

I'm sure somebody can improve on this or will correct
me if I've done something incorrectly.

  HTH
