Yes, we *encourage* those interested in using/testing betas of TB! to
subscribe to TBBETA and take part in the discussions there so that
bugs or issues may be ironed out. The more beta testers, the better.

T People are discouraged from downloading betas if they are not

Where did you hear or read that?

AFAIK, people are free to download whatever betas they like, whenever
they like, once it's available to them for download. *However*,
please do not post comments or discussions concerning betas of TB! to
the TBUDL or TBTECH lists. We, the moderators, aren't in any way
concerned with what members choose to download to their machines. We
are only interested in what is discussed on these lists (TBUDL,

TB! v1.51 - exporting a folder

2001-03-10 Thread Jan Rifkinson

Hello TBUDListers.

I guess I don't understand the concept of using the 'export' command
  line structure.

I'm trying to export/archive a now-defunct folder in my folder list.
At a DOS prompt I entered the following:
  C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe/export[F=xxx's Subject]

What's the proper way to do what I want to do?

  TIA

Just a guess - I havn't tried it but I think this might help:
Add a space behind the .exe so Dos sees that the next part is an
option:

C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe/export[F=xxx's Subject]

serious filtering problems

2001-03-10 Thread Menschenfeind

Hi!

I have 4 outgoing filters:

first: makes a copy of the message in another directory
second:extracts the attachment in a particular directory
third:starts an external program which terminates after a second or
two..
and fourth: starts another programm... terminates after a second, too..

The problem is: Only the first filter takes action! The option "continue
with next filters" is activated for each filter!

Can someone help me? This is important and i'm desperate...
I'm using theBat1.49 Christmas Edition on WinNT 4.0

Thanks!

What I don't understand is that threads are also broken when replies

In this case David Elliott *deliberately* broke the thread by manually

Using PGP for encryption

Hello TBUDL,

I already tried to write it in a TXT file and tried to import, I also
sent myself a mail containing this key. Both times TheBat claims that
there's no PGP-key

You can use the PGP key manager or PGP Tray to do this. Copy the key
to the clipboard including the --- BEGIN PGP (etc) lines then ask PGP
Key manager of PGP Tray to import the key from the clipboard.

There is a really good discussion list for PGP beginners which is
called PGP-Basics. [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a quick

Do you actually have PGP installed as a separate Program on your Computer,
or are you using the built-in PGP? If it's the former, copy his Public Key
block to your Clipboard. Start PGPTray, and choose Clipboard/Decrypt and
Verify... that should give you the Import Key dialogue box, allowing you
to import the Key into PGPKeys.

If you are using the internal version of PGP, then copy the Clipboard to a
self-addressed empty message, send it, then on receipt use Tools/PGP/PGP
Decrypt. That should be bring you to the same dialogue box as in the first
example.
