Right click on the account will create a folder under the account. Then using Ctrl
and or
Alt you can move the new folder to the specified order.

Automatic mailcheck does not work

2001-07-12 Thread Cilfa

Hello,

Since some days TheBat! doesn't check for e-mails automatically
anymore. Account Properties hasn't changed, Periodical
checking is checked, value is 5 min. I can't remember changing
any other setting, but there is probably a very silly checkmark
somewhere I have overlooked.
Does anyone know if there can be something else?

I'm using TheBat! 1.53bis.

Greetings,

Using PGP Key Manager, export your public key to a file. Open the file
using notepad or some other text editor. Copy the contents (you can use
the keyboard shortcuts CTRL-A then CTRL-C) to do the copy. Now go back to
the template and paste the key where you wish by using the shortcut
CTRL-V.

Changing glyphs

2001-07-12 Thread Browning, Karl

I have read the page Editing The Bat! Glyphs and am having a little
trouble. I have a copy of TB! 1.53d that I am testing (likely to register
soon), but there is no glyphs.bmp. I created my own, but I only wanted to
change a few and all of the images disappeared. After removing my file,
everything is back to normal.

The question is: where can I get a copy of glyphs.bmp that has the standard
glyphs in it?

Thanks much for any and all help,

The standard glyphs are in the exe. Only if you have a glyphs.bmp file
in your TB directory, will the standard as per exe be overridden.

If you want to create your own, it is a good idea to get one of the
glyphs file around, and modify that one. The position and size of each
glyph is important for TB to know where to use it.

So let's say this is, in fact, the case, where this setting can be

Hello daveiw

On 12 July 2001 at 19:35:03 +0100 (which was 19:35 where I live)
[EMAIL PROTECTED] emanated these words of wisdom

 1) How can I configure TB! to be always on - in that it will check for
new messages automatically? (without having to set up an automatic check
 in account options)

I don't think it is possible. How would The Bat! know when there is any
email without looking for it?

I know that M$ LookOut can do it but only when linked up to exchange and
then exchange pushes it to LookOut.

The only way I know is to set it to poll for emails every minute.

configure Forte's News Agent to run without using DUN? Many thanks

I'm not sure about it since I use dial-up. But if you have a look
under Options/User and System Profile you'll find a lot of options on
how Agent can be on line (like Use existing connection). Just
uncheck that it should dial-up itself.

Just try it out ...

I believe it is the fact that I am using M$ LookOut here. I have TB! at home
and am getting it ready for use. As soon as I register it, I will move this
sub over to that account and use TB! exclusively.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Bat! won't send or receive after waking from hibernation (Windows 2000)

2001-07-12 Thread Christian Dysthe

Hello TBUDL,

I have a strange problem: After my Windows 2000 laptop wakes up
after hibernation The Bat! won't send or receive mail. It hangs on
connecting to the mail server(s). I have to abort the process
  through the connection center.

All other software using either my dial-up or LAN connections work
fine. I can do my www, my icq and my irc without problems, but I have
to reboot to get mail delivered and collected with The Bat!.

I am using version 1.53d, but I have the feeling it has been like
  this for a while.

  TIA for help.

While I am not an expert on this, I did get the same feeling after the New
Connection
centre was opened. However after checking the log (Account/View Log) I found that
TB was
indeed checking mail. And the only setting reqd was what u have done.

Well, that was what I first thought. But the log shows me that no mail
is checked when I don't do that manually. When I hit F2, new mail
shows up. Very strange.

Confirmed here, exactly the same symptoms, but it happens not only after
returning from hibernation but also after returning from suspend to ram.
Most of the time it goes back to normal after a while (about 3 minutes),
but a reboot helps instantly.
