Hi, Phil wrote in msgid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] : How can I find out what the Bat is sending out? I've managed to send out messages by switching to the myrealbox smtp server and seeing what is in the headers when the message arrives but I guess the info is different depending on the Server. I could see nothing to do with HELO in the headers whereas when I send stuff with OE via claranet I can see the HELO greeting in the header. Some email programs' [Reply] don't address the Reply-To: in themessage being read
I send out a once a week email newsletter that asks for a yes or no response about attending this week's meeting of an organization. The reply is to be sent to three addresses, so the newsletter's Reply-To: includes the three addresses. I tested the email by sending it to myself at an account where I read mail with TheBat!, and to my Yahoo webmail account. I was gratified to find that both TheBat! and Yahoo could [Reply] to my message. Then I tested the message by sending it to our members. I found that not all members could hit [Reply] and address the three members in my message's Reply-To: . For example, AOL members address only me (the sender) when they hit [Reply]. It tried including mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED] in a message mto one of our AOL members and asking her to click on it. The link didn't open a new message. I also tried sending her the same link enclosed by , and that didn't work either. Is there a way to include a mailto: (or equivalent) that will always work? If it is, can I include the Subject: in one mailto: (or equivalent), so I can click on one mailto: to answer yes, or a second mailto: to answer no? Then the client is broken, since it doesn't adhere to the proper RFC's As you said, you could try something with a mailto: link, but there's no guarantee that that'll work, since a broken program can be broken on lots of places. The battery charges at the same rate whether the UPS is being used or not, so it really doesn't matter UNLESS there is a failure SOON :-) Some of the LARGER UPS systems operate on the inverter (connverts the battery DC 12V to AC 120V) at all times, so that there is NO delay in switching over to backup power. There is a relay that switches over (in milliseconds) in the smaller units. The delay is not noticed by most systems, but larger power-hungry server banks might be adversely affected. Hello Adam, Well, the way you're going would seem to be the way to do that. Would be harder if you had to control the mouse pointer, right? But works from keyboard. You know you just TAB or SHIFT TAB to flow through all the options? Yes, of course I knew about TAB and SHIFT TAB. My problem is finding a way (from a keyboard macro) to ensure that a certain tick box is ticked (on?). For example, if I want to select (tick) Body I can use Alt+B, but that will just toggle whatever the previous state is. -- Best regards, Miguel A. I thought it started with a blank slate when you hit F7. MAU For example, if I want to select (tick) Body I can use MAU Alt+B, but that will just toggle whatever the previous state is. Now there, I didn't know of shortcuts like that. You're teaching me too! Maybe that one was staying set after you hit F7 another time. So, you're right. I'm not sure. Speaking of which, we could use a keypress that set focus on the main window. The main or primary Bat window is split in three sections: the folders, the list of messages, and the preview window. You can hit TAB to advance focus to the next pane. But I know no way to fix focus on a particular pane by any simple method or shortcut. I daresay it could prove handy to be able to manoeuvre certain operations in advance, automatically. -- Best regards, Adam Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: Message Finder tick boxes
Hello Adam, Now there, I didn't know of shortcuts like that. You're teaching me too! On this type of dialogs, when a tick box or radio button has an underlined letter, clicking Alt+underlined_letter selects and or toggles it. Maybe that one was staying set after you hit F7 another time. So, you're right. I'm not sure. Yes, it saves the last state, the state of the last search done. So, I can never be sure which is it, that is why I'm looking for a way to force an ON or OFF state. But I think it isn't possible. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Normally the quick JA start guides cover everything :) All you guys and girls running out to get a UPS the above is something you definitely want on a UPS. A UPS is first and foremost meant to prevent you losing data with brown and black outs. Therefore the PC should close itself down (after the power has been gone for a short while), in a normal and controlled way without losing data, when the power is gone. Remember you might not be there to shut it down manually!! The battery is also not (normally) there to let you work on for extended period. If you want that you will have to pay big bucks and reserve lots of space for the UPS, depending on how long you want to keep on working after the power is gone. A final note, printers, scanners and all nonessential equipment should not be connected tot the UPS because it drains the battery. You could consider connecting your telephone system to the UPS if you have one that needs external power (think SOHO). Price tip: Some companies sell used UPS equipment and there is lot around for good price since the Internet bubble has blown :( Ask for a minimum waranty on the batteries if you buy one used. -- Best regards, Gerard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Golf humanizes women, humbles their laughty natures, tends, in short, to knock out of their systems a certain modicum of that superciliousness, that swank, which makes wooing a tough proposition for the diffident male.==P.G Wodehouse - THE ROUGH STUFF == Using The Bat! v1.62h on Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 3 Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: My TB can now manually re-thread messages :)
Hello All, I have written a first description of the PowerPro script I use for manual re-threading in TB. I am sorry, but this first version of the description is just of the script and method, and it assumes you are familiar with how to configure and start a script from a PowerPro toolbar button or menu. The step by step description of the script is available at: http://perso.wanadoo.es/murech/TB/re-thread.htm Feel free to ask if you do not understand something, but please here in TBUDL so others may benefit. No PM on this, thanks. For those not too familiar with PowerPro, and until I have more time to go into that, I suggest you follow the Tour on: http://www.windowspowerpro.com And even better, download PowerPro, install it and take a look at the Tutorial and HTML help. Both are very good. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Urech (El Escorial - Spain) Using The Bat! v1.61 Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
