I was using mail.clara.net, when I switched to use relay.clara.net I was able to send messages. After playing around with telnet I now know that the problem is caused because my computer name as placed in the helo keyword contains an underscore. Some of Claranet's smtp servers are obviously more fussy than others. I changed my computer name some time ago to remove the underscore but there must be some registry setting being picked up that still contains the old name. Does anyone have any ideas where this might be? Thanks to everyone for helping! -- Cheers, Phil mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
