Not funny Bat, my address book ?
2003-01-28 , 09:49 , Hello everybody, with apologies as my first line - for bothering the list with my attempts to switch to the digest form. Thanks Mark won't happen again :-) I'm wondering why sometimes TheBat wouldn't load the Address Book module as it is. I mean, I've got my e-mail addresses in the Mac's Address Book with 6 sub-address books with categorized contacts etc. It works fine mostly but sometimes when I open it (either with F8 or by clicking on the Address Book icon) my contacts are gone, and all of a sudden, I've got this default Address Book as when you start TheBat! right after the clean install. I close the program, start again, same thing. However, a reboot of my laptop solves the problem. Why is this ? I'm running the version 1.61 right now. After getting some help on this issue I guess I'll be backing up everything and then go over to 1.62i Thanks in advance. -- Kind regards, Homesick Mac www.homesickmac.com Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
S/MIME and MS-Entourage
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Dear readers from 'TB!beta List', I just got a phone call from a Company that got an S/MIME signed eMail from me. They say that 'the attached file' could not be opened. I explained here, that this is a Digital Signature. But unfortunately I couldn't tell here how to open it. Further I must confess that I don't know this either for Netscape and MS-OE. Question: How is the S/MIME shown in eMail Client other than TB!? And how are they viewed? So I highlight and in one motion move to the green arrow Reply button. To hold the shift key down is for me as automatic as for writing a capital letter. To each his own? As you wrote to me once about fishing v. scuba diving. (At least, I think that was what you were saying.) :) I have to *hunt* that F4 button. It is marked on the side on my keyboard. I was a command-line junkie for 15 years, so hightilight-F4 is a ntural for me. Re[2]: 2-5 second delay on XP
Hi Mike, Wow, you were right! I upgraded my Detonator drivers from 4.071 to 4.109 and that did the trick! In all my years of experience with computers, I've never seen a video driver affect just 1 program. Thanks, James Mike One suggestion - that sounds like a video card problem rather than a Mike Bat problem have you got the latest drivers (and, yes, it can happen Mike to just one piece of software and *still* be a video card problem). Marking filtered messages auto read
Hi, I'm new to this list and this is my first post. I hope it's okay if I'm asking this evenif it's been asked before cos I couldn't find it. I want all new messages that get filtered a particular folder when receiving mail, to automatically be marked as read. I mean, I've got my e-mail addresses in the Mac's HM Address Book with 6 sub-address books with categorized contacts etc. HM It works fine mostly but sometimes when I open it (either with F8 or by HM clicking on the Address Book icon) my contacts are gone, and all of a HM sudden, I've got this default Address Book as when you start TheBat! HM right after the clean install. PC if you created a new group, did you switch the default AB to that PC group?? PC in the addressbook, highlight your group and click the EDIT menu. Is PC there a checkbox by the USE THIS AS DEFAULT?? Yes, it is checked as a default, I did that when I first created the Address Book. So I don't know why this was happening. I've upgraded to 1.62i and everything was fine this morning.
