Is there a way to bring awc the messages back in? You can move these folders to one of your accounts' folder structure i.e. C:\The [EMAIL PROTECTED] C:\The [EMAIL PROTECTED] and so on. Then you need to press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L simultaneously to force The Bat! to search for a so-called Lost Folders. HTH -- Yours sincerely, Andrey G. IMAP stalling
I know current IMAP support is spotty, but does anyone have problems with IMAP freezing up all the time? After working fine for a while, it stays in the connection centre, trying to connect for a lengthy period. One can abort it, but once you do this it won't work again until TB is restarted. Just wondering if there is a workaround, or if I have to live with it for now. -- Ravi (http://shell-shocked.org) 24 hours in a day and 24 beers in a case. H... Hi ravi, I have seen the behavior your are describing. I thing it is a combination of the server not responding and TB not ending it gracefully. -- Best regards, Gerard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= If you drink, don't drive. I have seen the behavior your are describing. I thing it is a combination of the server not responding and TB not ending it gracefully. Hmm. Interesting. I had expected more people to have the problem. some more details: I run WinXP and TB 1.62r. The problem occurs with a Fastmail account, which I think many people use. -- Ravi (http://shell-shocked.org) Alone: In bad company.. Some Newbie Questions...
Hi all, 1) In my haste to start using using TB, I set up a lot (over 2 dozen) of email accounts and just accepted the default templates (New, Reply, Forward, etc.) for each account. Now, after about 2 weeks of using TB, I would like to change them all but it seems that I need to change them one account at a time. Is there a faster way to do this? i.e. is there a centralized way to change the default templates so that the changes will also apply to all existing accounts? 2) I like to view my message list such that the newer ones are at the top. However, after I've read a message and delete it, TB always like to automatically highlight the next one below (i.e. an older one which I've already read and decided to keep). Can I configure TB so that it can automatically move to the next message above? 3) I had this problem where my ISP only allows 4 simultaneous connection to the mail server at one time and causes TB to hang when I check my 2 dozen accounts all at once. I wrote a quick and dirty script to overcome this. Is there a easy way for me to configure TB to call an external program (i.e. as a menu item, a button, a shortcut, etc.) so that it can run my script? -- Best regards, choppystridemailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] The Bat! v1.62q Windows XP Pro v5.1 bld 2600 (Service Pack 1) Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[2]: Mac OS X Client
Does anyone have a recommendation for an email client for the MAC OS X that is close to TB!? Thanks. try whether you can get Sylpheed to work. CT Sylpheed, yes. Or maybe Gnus which runs under (X)Emacs. It isn't CT very similar to The Bat! but an extremely powerful news and mail CT client. My recommendation would be to try Evolution. It's becoming the de-facto email client for a *lot* of people I know. From what I read on slashdot and other sites my friends aren't alone. Very nice client, similar to Outlook without the problems. Most Linux binaries work without problems on FreeBSD. Since OSX is based on that, I wouldn't think there would be many problems there. -Vishal Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

C i.e. is there a centralized way to change the default templates so C that the changes will also apply to all existing accounts? Yes, but it would initially involve making a change to all templates for each account. I personally use Quick templates for a more central management of templates. I then call each quick template using the %Qinclude=qt handle macro. Changing the quick template will lead to the change affecting all templates that use the same quick template. C 2) I like to view my message list such that the newer ones are at C the top. Is there a easy way for me to configure TB to call an C external program (i.e. as a menu item, a button, a shortcut, etc.) so C that it can run my script? Why do you need TB! to run the script? You could use the system scheduler to run it at regular intervals. For manual running, why not create a shortcut for it and then assign the shortcut a hotkey? As to letting TB! run the script, the only way I can think of doing that would be to create a manual filter whose action is to run an external program. Use the 'do not match message against filter rule option' so that the filter will be triggered by any message. Assign the filter a hotkey. Of course, you'd have to copy and paste the filter to each account for it to work no matter which account you have selected. - -- -= allie_M =- | List Moderator _ -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: PGP SDK 3.0.2 iQA/AwUBPweEaFfJ62ArBxfiEQJ9xQCg4eJFTlfXZXvyd7fhsTuV9nnn2zEAoKwu xU3GpA80hwe9ds63Z1GMdycH =MNJ7 -END PGP SIGNATURE- Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
