Old Question
Firstly, I recall this was probably the first question I posted to this list right back when I first installed TB but since then I have both forgotten the answer and deleted the reply that indicated what I needed to do to correct it, but I am now experiencing the same problem with another machine (Windows XP), so apologies all round for repeating myself. When clicking on a mailto link on a website the message Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed is displayed, followed by 48 web browser windows opening that all say they cannot display the page. TB is the default mail client and is associated with all mail type files (mailto: .msg; .eml; .VCF) and one of the accounts is set to be the defaul for mailto URLs. What do I need to do here? Multiple Addresbook entries when added automatically
Hello List, I created a filter that moves all email comming from @peoplecall.com, to a internal mail folder and create a new entry in addresbook for all the addresses in kludges. The problem is that many entries are duplicated, for example: Johnn Doe [EMAIL PROTECTED] JOHNN DOE [EMAIL PROTECTED] Doe, J.[EMAIL PROTECTED] .. etc. There is some sort of way for *not* create the entry if the email address is already created? Can TB! create a verbose log file?
Hello: Is there a way to have TB! log *everything* that is transmitted to and from a POP3 server? I am having a problem with some messages mysteriously disappearing and I have traced the problem to TB! showing some strange behaviour when the POP3 session is interrupted for some reason. I would like to see the exact POP3 commands and responses and the message numbers and UIDLs that are being handled so that I can check if the problem is in fact TB!, my POP3 Server or whatever. message 100 stalls
Hello Bats!, In a previous post I told of having to reformat my hard drive and upon reinstallation of The Bat! I noticed a problem with the log files on each account. Thanks to the many knowledgeable people on this list, that problem was nicely resolved. Now I am faced with another problem probably related to the reformat/reinstallation. I've noticed that whenever the server is holding *more* than 100 messages, The Bat! will fetch up to message 100 where it then stalls. The message center says it is deleting message 100. Finally after many seconds of apparent inactivity, the message center closes, fetching no more messages. From the Web I can go to the server and will find that all messages are still there. Any subsequent fetch the message center will say I still have the original number of messages and proceed to fetch them all over again. And once again, it will stall at message 100 never deleting any of the messages from the server. If I go on the Web to the server and delete enough messages to get the count below 100, The Bat! then does the fetch with no stalling and deletes the messages from the server as it is supposed to. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the problem might be? -- Best regards, Jack LaRosa mail to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Alabama, USA Message created 9:35:48 PM (GMT-6) on Monday, August 18, 2003 = Using The Bat! ver. 1.61 (reg) under Windows 98 ver.4.10 build Service Pack A = Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

All will now work correctly. Thanks, this helped me too! Not the most obvious fix, but a simple one.
