Suggestion for better message list view reading
Hi all, A couple of tips I found to improve navigation in the message list view. I have used these tips with JFW v4.51.119. 1. I reclassified the message list view to a list view. The class name was TListView or something like that. 2. I added a custom highlight color after highlighting a message. Insertion pointer sticking in certain messages
Hi all, While scrolling in a message with my arrow keys, I find that the insertion pointer gets stuck at a certain point in the message. Repeatedly hitting the up or down arrow does not seem to move the insertion pointer. My screen reader (JFW v4.51.119) keeps repeating the same line of text. The text of the message below that line is visible. I have varified this by using the mouse. The solution to the problem seems to be to click on the text below that line. I can then read the subsequent part of the message. The view is set to vertical splitter or something like that. Could this be the cause of the problem? If yes, then what view should I try? TB!, SpamPal, or POP Server?
I am having two problems, and I cannot determine whether they are related or where they are originating. (Background here is that I have my messages set to remain on the server for four days or until emptied from trash; I have SpamPal set up with the RegEx, URL Body, and Bayesian filters; and I retrieve my mail from a SquirrelMail server by POP.) One problem I'm having is that mail often--but not always--downloads twice, even after it has been deleted from my trash bin, and--I swear this has been repeatedly confirmed as true--even after I have gone in to the POP server through the web and deleted mail. Mail deleted from the server which has never been d/l into TB! does not d/l, but if it has once been d/l into TB! it *may* d/l again even though it has been deleted on the server. The other problem is that SpamPal sometimes just spins and spins and does not ever allow downloading; the process has to be terminated through Windows. Any idea what in the world is going on with either of these issues? -- JN Current version is 2.00.6 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

subpattern returned by %REGEXPTEXT
I am new to trying to capture subpatterns using regex. I am using TB! to create logs of e-mails Hamster has killed for me. Hamster does not create logs, but rather creates individual e-mails for each killed message. I am using TB! to extract info from the Hamster-generated mails; each Hamster-generated mail contains the killed mail's headers in its text body. Here's an example regex: ^subject:\s(\*\*\*\sGMX\sSpamverdacht\s\*\*\*\s)?(.*?)$ 111 222 I want to capture subpattern 2, which is the original subject; I do not want to capture the string *** GMX Spamverdacht *** which GMX may or may not have prepended to the original subject. I thought that %REGEXPTEXT captured the highest numbered subpattern, in this case 2, but it seems to be capturing subpattern 1. I have read the help, and looked through Gerd Ewald's regex tutorial again, but I'm afraid my head is spinning a bit. From playing with things, ISTM that %REGEXPTEXT will return subpattern 0 if that is the only one matched, and will return subpattern 1 if more than one subpattern is matched. Do I have this right now? And if I want to capture a subpattern other than 0 or 1 I will have to use %SETPATTREGEXP, %REGEXPBLINDMATCH, and %SUBPATT ? -- Mike TB! v1.62r Hamster Classic v1.3.23.4 Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.00.6 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hi Allen, snip Proper etiquette on this list is to have a cut line or signature delimiter. Your precede your signature with -- ( dot dot dash ). Most people on this list are, naturally, using The Bat!, and TB automatically truncates all text from the delimiter on down. Thanks for the explanation. I don't have a message signature so I don't think that I need a cut line. Pranav Current version is 2.00.6 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
