TheBat! and K9
Hello Group I've given up on the spam add-ons for TB!, neither of them seem to work very well. I've installed K9 and set it up for two of my eight email accounts. I am filtering on Subject contains [Spam] because I couldn't find out how to filter on the 'X-Text-Classification' - is this, or something similar, possible in TB! to avoid altering the subject line? Is anybody using TB! / Hotmail Popper / K9? I haven't tried it yet, I'm hoping it will work because Hotmail Popper used port 110 and K9 uses . Many thanks. -- Jeff Gaines Damerham Hampshire UK :Jeff_Gaines: Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

It's been awhile since I played with K9, but IIRC you can set it to every free port on your computer. OK, I took the plunge and this does seem to work, it's astonishing when you follow the route of an email on just one PC! I must say the signs are good with K9. I am not for sure about hotpopper, as I use freepop for my Hotmail account. It has been so long since I set that one up but I do have it set up to run through K9. Freepop uses port 2000 and this is my transport within The Bat! user - localhost/2000/[EMAIL PROTECTED] and the port is on . Maybe there is some similarities between the two programs and will help out in some way. -- Best regards, Michaelmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

specific Asian text support
I've tried pretty much all I can think of to find info on/and get info how to display and write Korea characters in the The Bat. Chinese, Japanese are fine...but no joy with Korean. Should I give up? Any one hear (or care) whether The Bat will ever support it? And is there any way of getting it to work now? Thunderbird does the job fine, but just don't want the give up on The Bat. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. -- lee walters // Wednesday, June 29, 2005 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Scheduler question
I'm trying to get the Scheduler to create/send an email. I'd like to send the same email once a month. I want to address it to my secretary and BCC a group of people from my address book. I've tried it a couple of ways. I put her address and the group in the specific address box and checked send secondary addresses as BCC. When the test email was generated and saved in my outbox as a draft, only her address showed up. No BCC group was generated, even when I hit F9 and looked at the detailed headers. I used the Linking function to link to her address in the TO: and the group in the BCC. When I did that, I couldn't even get the test email to generate on schedule. I tried putting a macro command in the text to BCC to the group, but that didn't work either. Is there a way to do this that I'm overlooking? I'm a little bit confusded here. Korean is a DBCS language such as Chinese and Japanese, so if the other languages work on your computer, so should Korean. Do you have the XLAT table under Options / Preferences / Character Sets? Do you have a Korean font in your Windows\Fonts directory? And is this same font chosen under Options / Preferences / Editor / PlainText (assuming you use the plain text editor / viewer)? -- Cheers, Thomas.
