Ignoring threads. A long standing wish.
Hello all, There is an old (3 year old) standing wish in BT to implement an 'Ignore Thread' function: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=1542 Years ago I used PowerPro to implement a workaround and later used some other methods. Generating notifications under RFC 3798
Hello there, I am wondering if there is any setting for The Bat! to generate reading confirmations within the framework of RFC 3798, i.e. with Content-Type: multipart/report; report-type=disposition-notification; When looking through my Sent receipts folder, I see that back in 2005, I managed to send several of those with TB! 3.5, and several more with 3.0.1.33. However, in other cases the latter also produced Content-Type: multipart/mixed; sometimes, and that is also the behaviour of the current version (at least here, with default template for receipts). Why not producing RFC3798-compliant receipt headers by default? Regards, Maksym Kozub -- Maksym Kozub(+380 44)424-1792(tel./fax), (+380 67)466-5174(mob.) If so, you're in the same boat I am and TB will not work. I'm not sure - presumably I could tell from the way the Outlook client is set up to access Exchange? Actually, I think my situation is more complex. I use Outlook as a calendaring and contact tool, just don't want to use it as an email client. Futhermore, I am a freelance consultant and Outlook/Exchange is the only supported email environment at one of my clients. Because I use Outlook for all my appointments and contacts, I don't want to leave these on the server at this single client. This means I have to set up Outlook to use a local PST file for everything, including email. So the only way I can get my work email from this organisation is to have Outlook open and downloading email, and have TB access the local copy of Outlook and pull mail out of the PST file. This works okay (except for the fact that I have to remember to send all emails immediately rather than putting them in the outbox) most of the time. It is certainly better than using the mail import wizard every time I want to get email out of Outlook and into TB. The main problem I have now is that while invitations to meetings arrive at my Outlook inbox, they don't get imported to TB. So I still need to remember to check my Outlook inbox regularly. To make matters worse, I have a second client that also uses Outlook/Exchange, but they also have a domain set up to manage their LAN (my first client doesn't). If I let them set up my laptop for their domain, it causes all sorts of problems for connecting to my LAN at home, or my first client, etc. So I am set up with minimal LAN privileges at this second client and that means I can only access the Exchange server via Outlook Web Access, which in turn means there is no way at all to download my email from that client to TB, or even to my laptop. -- Robin Using The Bat! v3.80.03 Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Popfile v0.22.3 Current version is 3.80.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
