In some prior versions the was an option called Save to which worked just like Save all to but for the selected attachments only. Why did it disappear? Hello Tbudl, Since version 3.95 you are able to specify second parameter of the cookie macro to specify the Charset of the file, e.g. %COOKIE(C:\a\max.txt,Windows-1251) this means that the file C:\a\max.txt contains characters in Windows-1251 encoding. Alternatively, %COOKIE macro supports Unicode files. Synchronization of The Bat!
Hello fellow list members, Hoping to tap into the brain trust, here: Is it possible to sync two or more instances of The Bat!, if they are not collocated? IOW, if both machines are set to automatically check for mail and there is a passage of time in transit between the two machines, can they really be accurately synchronized?? If this is not possible, and it seems that it is not, since the Help File seems to suggest that it is a method of synchronizing two or more still life images while the machines continue along their real time life, is there a better way to do this? -- Best regards, Gene mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.95.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

The popular methods are using IMAP (leaving messages on the server), POP (leaving messages on the server), or physically copying your message files around. If this is not possible, and it seems that it is not, since the Help File seems to suggest that it is a method of synchronizing two or more still life images while the machines continue along their real time life, is there a better way to do this? I'm not entirely sure what that sync is intended for, but it is certainly not for syncing between two Bat programs (like you'd sync offline messages in outlook). I had tried syncing The Bat and Voyager with that toolset, but it just isn't for that. Re: Lost ticker
On Friday, December 29, 2006, Robin Anson scripted: The ticker is probably off the screen. If you are happy to edit the registry, run regedit and go to HKEY_Current_User\RIT\The Bat!\Ticker There are 2 values in there Left and Top. Set both to 0 and the ticker will be placed at the top left corner of your screen. However you must do this with TB! closed, since it is only read at start up, and TB! overwrites these values as it closes down. Greetings Robin, 17:50, Friday, December 29, 2006 Somehow I failed to consider that The Bat should be CLOSED when I made the registry changes. Of course, it only reads those values when it opens. Your note jogged my thinking. The lost ticker has now returned. Re: Associating active account with specific email addresses
Hi On Thursday 28 December 2006 at 12:06:08 AM, in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED], Roelof Otten wrote: M Even if the mass mailing feature is used? That's an odd question, you're asking something completely without any context. ;-) Oops. I trimmed too much (-: When you're addressing multiple addressees then the AB template for the first addressee is used, therefore logic dictates that the account associated with the first addressee is used for all addressees. Got that bit. Now you're asking me about TB's behaviour with a mass mailing. When you're doing a mass mailing, you're using a QT for mass mailing, therefore associations that are defined in AB templates are ignored, just like the rest of those AB templates. That didn't occur to me. So your answer is 'No. When the mass mailing feature is used, TB uses the account that has been focused in the account tree pane. At least that is what I expect, it is possible that TB uses the default account for mailto's when doing a mass mailing, but it's one of the two. Presumably it would be prudent to specify. If you really want to be able to decide what account to use in a mass mailing then you need to store that info in an AB field. Let's store the associated account in the Pager field on the Business tab of the AB. In that case you use this macro in your QT: %Account=%ABToBusPager='MFPA'%- This uses the account stored in the business pager field and if there's nothing there it uses the MFPA account. Excellent - exactly what I was trying to ask. I hope this is the answer you were looking for, otherwise you need to be somewhat more specific. Thanks, Roelof. -- Best regards, MFPA Man is not a rational animal, he is a rationalising animal.
