TF Here should be the PDF file, looking like gibberish, as it is base64

Nothing there - the only thing I have removed is the name and address
of the sender.

TF Same here.

TF I don't know much about what the internal backup does with
TF attachments. Did the problem start after a restore?

MM I believe so, but in actual fact I've done at least two restores
MM this year, so I'm not sure when the damage was actually done. I've
MM just used Google Desktop Search and see (most belatedly, I'm
MM afraid) that the attachments were stored away in \Documents and
MM Settings...

TF How did it get there...

Maybe that's where XP, in its wisdom, locks up all stray documents.

I really do appreciate all your detective work, Thomas, but, at the
moment, I do not have time to dig any deeper. I usually go along with
the TB! default settings.

Henceforth, though, I shall make a point of storing external
attachments in message bodies - perhaps this was the default setting
in some previous version...

Wrong time-stamp on mail received.

2007-11-13 Thread Doug Higby
Hi,

I discovered one of the disadvantages of using Voyager. Apparently I plugged
it into
a computer who's time was set two weeks in advance. Now I have all my emails
sorted
incorrectly with those on the top.

Since the bat is connecting to the internet anyway, it would be nice if it could
check with a timeserver before downloading the mail, and pop up a warning.

Other than that, I don't think I have a way to fix the past problem, except I
have
changed sorting to creation date.

No, the email is exactly as pasted with the exception of a few changes to the
headers. I've never altered any options regarding attachments are far as I can
remember. It seems to me that the issue is either to do with the backup/restore
process or some sort of corruption in the message base.
