message View Layout

2008-03-12 Thread Paul Jansen
Dear All,

I have been trying different layouts with TB and was wondering if it
is possible to get a multiline view of the message list when the list
column is narrow - I am trying to use the horizontal split mode on a
widescreen monitor and I saw this feature on Outlook and thought it
would be really helpful.

Also, is it possible to have the list show the sender if I received
the e-mail and the recipient if I sent the e-mail? I don't need to
see my name as sender or recipient, but file both sent and received
mail by customer.

Thanks

Dear All,

Sorry for so many messages, I am reviewing how I use TB and trying
different options.

I now find myself in the situation where all my toolbars will only
snap into the main window if they are above the message list. This
includes the menu toolbar. I am unable to put any toolbars above the
folder tree or preview pane. How can I reset the toolbar positions?

Thanks

You can do that by deleting the tbuser.def file in the mail

that that's a rather unsatisfactory solution as that deletes all your

Any quick work-around or should I remove TB! completely and then do a

Re[2]: filtering on multiple emails addressbook entires

2008-03-12 Thread Hartwig Harder
Hello Roger,

first of all thanks for your answer.
Sorry for my wrong description of what I called address book, I meant indeed
address groups and that implies that I have to create for each email address
one address book entry and that is something exactly what I would like to
avoid. It will create redundant information on other information as well like
telephone numbers etc, which are then hard to maintain if you have to check it
on all possible entries.
I haven't found a way to create subgroups which would be nice as my address
book contains already groups like 'office' 'family' friends' etc. I would
prefer if I can keep that grouping as well.
The address book entry does allow multiple email addresses so I thought that
there might be a possibility to make use of that feature.

Cheers,

Hartwig

Backup problem

2008-03-12 Thread Alberto Almagioni
I'm having a problem with and old scheduled backup.

As soon as TheBat! was able to schedule autobackup I set up a backup
to be run at every three days for all my accounts.

The destination folder was d:\mail\ that also was the root folder
 for TheBat! mail

After I changed my pc I reinstalled TheBat! but, as I have e huge,
single disk I put as root folder C:\Mail instead of D:\Mail moving
there all my mail folders from the old pc.

Then I just recreated every account pointing it to the correct folder
 (e.g. Account 1 C:\Mail\account1, and so on).

Now I'm having this problem: every time the scheduled backup tries to
write the tbk file in D:\mail, even if I changed all the scheduled
 works.
I guess somewhere the old path is still written but I cannot find
 it.
 Can anyone help me?

It is usually possible to drag and drop toolbar sections to where you want
them. The end of a toolbar section (in my case) is marked by a vertical
dashed line and if you move the curser over it the usual crossed arrows
symbol appears. Click on that and move the toolbar, perhaps down first to
get below thw line of menus, and then leftwards to wherever you want it.
Then move the next section etc.

You can either place the mouse cursor on the line that divides the Name

there.

As I go up and down the folder tree it expands and I thought that I

That is the point I am a big key board used and don't use the mouse. When I
the cursor keys to move up and down the tree it gets really annoying that
the other columns disappear off the right.

P.S. Have you tried moving the column order. I have put unread first and it
looks weird with the tree having the unread numbers of unread.

The problem as I see it is that the first column width is not fixed but
will vary depending on how far into a tree you are in.

You don't need to use subgroups to keep your old grouping while still
creating new groups. Any address book entry can belong to as many
address book groups as you like.
For instance, you can have an address book group 'twits' that
contains your boss, your brother in law and your best friend's wife.
