Re: Remove Common Folders ??

2008-09-09 Thread MAU
Hello Richard,

M Can you send me the picture you tried to send as an attachment to
M the list?
Sent via private mail.

Got it. I have uploaded it here:

http://www.rancho-k.com/TB/ScreenShot001.jpg

so that others may take a look if they wish.

I may be wrong because I use a different set of folder icons
(yellowish) but, from what I see, what you say are 'common' folders look
as accounts to me. Can you right click on any of them, look at
Properties and confirm if they are Common folders or Accounts?

In one of your messages you say: But I'm left with three empty 'common'
folders that I don't want. But in the picture they are not 'empty',
they show a count of 4 messages. Or are you referring to the fact they
have a 'blank' names? BTW, did they always show with blank names?

Hello Richard,

M Also, do your common folders exist in your MAIL directory on disk?
No.

Further to my previous message, and whether they are Common folders or
Accounts, can you look at Properties and see if they point to a
different directory than your default MAIL one?

Can't set highlight colors on directory list

2008-09-09 Thread Doug Higby
Hi Bat Users,

I am frustrated because I can't seem to set the highlight colors in the folder
navigation pane. These belong to color group Generic Group by default.

In the attached image, you will see why I want to change it. The Beta folder
is the
one I am browsing in (inactive highlight), but you really have to squint to see
the
white/beige variation. (It is there, honest!)

If I set the color settings for Generic Group, it has no effect, suggesting
that even
though these folders belong to Generic Group, they are getting their colors
elsewhere.

Yes, I know I can apply a different Color Group, but I spent 20 minutes the
other day
assigning a custom color group Folder to every folder I have. It worked
great, but
today for some reason, they are all set back to Generic Group again.

I even tried changing themes, but they seem to have no effect on the highlight
colors
in the window, just the menus. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Just adding my 2p worth. I use the default icon set and here an
account and a common folder look identical in the account tree (except
you can allocate a colour group to a folder).

In one of your messages you say: But I'm left with three empty
'common' folders that I don't want. But in the picture they are not

Although the + sign indicates they have sub-folders. The messages
could be in those, maybe?

Common Folders Preferences is what comes up.

That message was after the picture. The unnamed common folders were
reflecting the contents of the common junk folder (created by
AntiSpamSniper). When I delete the contents of the junk folder, the
contents of the junk folder under the common folders is also deleted.
If I delete the junk folder, then the three common folders still
remain without a way to delete.
Further to my previous message, and whether they are Common folders or
Accounts, can you look at Properties and see if they point to a

Good idea. And, there is no listed folder for the common folders only
Common Folders Preferences. The common junk folder does point to a
Junk folder which is in the default directory as $JUNK$.
