Re: recent in Gmail (was. Re: Weird display problem)
Hello MFPA, I started leaving messages on the server about one year ago On the subject of leaving messages on server when downloaded by POP, I have The Bat! set to delete messages from server after 5 days. This works fine with other email providers I use. But google's POP settings muck it up, and none of the available options seems to cause google to delete yhe messages when The Bat! tells it 5 days later.. I have my TB set up to delete received messages from server and Gmail to mark the copy as read and that is what it does. It completely ignores what the pop client tells it to do. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Re: How to see your own post (Gmail problem) (was: Unacceptable wrapping result)
Hello MFPA, Very good, on a pade visited by people whose email service has been disrupted due to somebody else using an ill-conceived and poorly-configured anti-spam solution. That is the problem. Blacklist may use whatever criteria they wish, the problem is that some sysadmins may decide to reject email based on what one or another blacklist tell them. That is the problem with the server hosting tbudl. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Encryption concerns
Why is everyone so concerned about encrypting their email? It must be clear by now the that US National Security Agency--as well as the comparable security agencies in every other civilized country in the world--can break all encryption codes and most likely were involved in setting up the encryption codes in the first place. The good news is that from now on when I forget one of my passwords I can probably file a request with the NSA and have them send it to me. :) -- Mike -- Mike Current version is 5.2.2 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I would have to see a list of articles verifying that claim. Remember, for one example, that 'Snowden' was using some form of email encryption. I use OpenPGP with The Bat!, thus an RSA4096 subset, and seriously doubt that, given they didn't get my pass-phrase, they could break it in a 100 years or less with distributed computing even. As for being in on the development, it's open source code, available to all of us to verify no back doors. Current German Tech News Moments are saying, in their talking-points, that people should begin using GPG4win and other OpenPGP . -- Best regards, Robert Current version is 5.2.2 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
