Regex in Message Finder
You'll have to pardon me, I've been away from TB for a year or two and am both a bit rusty with its intricacies and trying to get up to speed with all the changes. This time around, my question is about the message finder--it used to support regex, but now it doesn't seem to. Am I overlooking something or has the power of regex been deprecated from the message finder in exchange for speed? Thanks A. -- Remember, no matter where you go, there you are. When using the message finder if you you use Match or Does not Match you will use regex. If you use Contains or Does no Contain it won't. Ah, very good -- didn't pick up on that subtlety immediately but it does make sense. Thanks much! A. -- Remember, no matter where you go, there you are. Shortcuts Conflicts and Shortcut Collections
After a bit of a hiatus from the luxuries of The Bat/client-side mail I've come to find a few things changed. While the new interface for editing shortcuts/toolbars/menus is most certainly improved from the way I remember it. I'm having a couple of prolbems with it, however. First, conflicts--is there no way to tell if there are conflicting shortcuts or am I missing something? Also, there are a few items called Shortcut Collection -- where I'd expected to find all the shortcuts for the parent container, however this isn't the case--there are shortcuts listed, but by no means all/most of them. What's the shortcut collection for? Thanks A. -- Remember, no matter where you go, there you are. Hello Roelof, Thursday, February 2, 2006, 7:38:09 AM, you wrote: You can add actions to the shortcut collection and assign shortcuts to it, so you won't have to add them to your menu or toolbar. Ah, gotcha -- thanks. Don't know about how to detect conflicts or is the answer No ? -- Remember, no matter where you go, there you are. One at a time . . . on that note, once using the new filtering system--be careful. It's possible to stack multiple filters under one in a collapsable heirarchy and it would appear possible to cut the whole 'stack'--but pasting thereafter isn't possible. So if you're careless, like me, you could end up with 30 or so filters gone in a blink. D'oh. A. Unable To Send/Receive Mail
For the majority of the day, I've been running in to this problem. When I attempt to download my mail, it connects to the server, downloads the number of messages, then says it's downloading but hangs without ever pulling any down. This is displayed in the connection centre: receiving mail messages connected to POP3 server authenticated (plain) 174 messages in the mailbox, 174 new and it does not proceed past there. This started while using 2.0.6; I've now tried it in 1.63 beta, the other TB installed on my machine, but . . . same results: Nothing. Also, and this may be related, I am unable to compress my folders even from the maintenance centre. It just hangs. I tried to check integrity/repair but had no errors turn up there. I have no idea what to do to get my mail to download again . . . I can't send mail either. Allen Current version is 2.00 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
