JK Hello tbudl,

JK A question of minor importance: I wonder why in version 2 the button
JK Create a new message has a little arrow too.
JK The other arrows (get new and send queued mail) show all accounts.
JK But this one? Just decoration? Or maybe for another purpose I don't
JK know..?

That's a pop up menu for favorites. In your address book, select a
name, then click on the other tab and you will see the option.

v. 2 IMAP freezes program

2003-09-11 Thread Christopher LaFond
Trying this again, since no one picked it up the first time:

Using The Bat! v2.00.6 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600
Service Pack 1

Since I changed to v.2, the one account that I have which is IMAP
freezes the program most (but not all) of the time when I click on the
Inbox. The program stops responding. If it doesn't stop responding
when I click on the Inbox, it freezes when I click on one of the
message headers that it has downloaded (though I have it set for full
synchronization, with the Inbox subscribed, so I should get more than
just headers), but then I click on a message and it freezes then too.

This happens about 50% of the time, and often, I will have to force
the program to quit. If I switch to do something else and come back to
it later, occasionally it has corrected itself.

Does anyone know what's going on? I don't have this problem with the
POP accounts that I have.

Chris

True. Someone else on the list that I know didn't see it come through
though, so I wanted to be sure that there wasn't a problem, since I
just signed on recently.

Hello Sean,

CL Using The Bat! v2.00.6 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600

SH ...I promptly stopped using IMAP in TB! after 3 or 4 freezes, so I
SH can't offer a specific diagnosis of what causes it, but the
SH problem certainly isn't unique to Christopher. I hope the
SH developers are aware of this.

The last day or so has been fine now. But then this has happened
before, it's fine for a bit, and then it goes back to freezing. If it
froze all the time, I wouldn't bother, since the one IMAP account I
have is for work. But it's stringing me along just enough to keep my
hopes up.
