Hello udlers,

I want to use more regularly the message dispatcher, but it
seems to pop up 'at random'. I cannot simply access it via
'Account / Dispatch mail on server'. In Archives I couldn't
find further information, so: did I forget to install
something?

Authentication Encryption

2002-05-02 Thread Fr van Limpt

Thursday, May 2, 2002,

Hello udlers,

I'm following with much interest (and few technical knowledge
at the same time!) the discussions on encrypting. I could (as a
copywriter) certainly need sometimes to encrypt documents, so
I'm digging out the help file about it. It's a superb file, no
comment on that, but I miss small introductions here and there
on sophisticated subjects. I hope you can clear up the sky.

The system of secure transport of messages begins, I think,
with POP3 and/or(?) SMTP authentication. Or are they simply
options on themselves, regardless of encryption?

When do I (PGP or else)-sign and when isn't it worth the
trouble? I'm looking forward to see reactions that can
orientate my thoughts on the subject.

Re[2]: Filter strings

Hallo Roelof,

RO I'll give you my filter.
RO There are a few things important for the filter, those are:

RO Source: Your Inbox
RO Target: Your tbudl folder

RO String: Reply-To: tbudl
RO Location: Kludges
RO Presence: Yes

RO Active: Must be checked
RO Manual only: Must not be checked

So far this is exactly what I did, with a slight difference: I
used the *whole* Reply-To address. I changed it in 'tbdul'.

RO Because it's a very specific condition, the filter can be placed on
RO top of the incoming filter list, this prevents other filters to hijack
RO the list-messages.

Do you mean by 'on top' just under the 'incoming mail' folder
in the Sorting Office?

RO The options 'Active' and 'Manual only' are very important, because a
RO non-active filter won't be run and a 'Manual Only' filter won't be run
RO automatically.

It still doesn't work ...

Thanks very much, this is exactly what i need. I hadn't tried
'properties' in the AB file (overwhelmed by the enormous

AB one creates a flexible, highly personalized administration.
The two other possibilities are clearly more superficial.
