I don't see a way to do that. TF Unfortunately, you can do this only with a work-around. Don't use the TF Known filter, but create one manually that sends the mail to your TF Known folder and plays the soound. PM I guess it works the other way around, as I found no option to filter on PM address books when creating a new filter. I created a Known folder which PM allows me to select sound, and pointed the existing Known filter to it PM instead of the default Inbox-Known. So keep the filter, but create a new PM destination folder. :-) I tried following your advice but came up with a new problem. I hadn't realized that my sound file would be played for each and every email coming into that folder (duh!). It sounds awful when a half dozen emails get moved into the folder as it doesn't execute the sound file based on my pressing the get new mail button but rather based on items being moved into the folder. Using Sound Effectively
I would like to do something with a sound wav file for TB notification of new mail but I can't figure out how to do it. Most of the emails that I get are filtered into different folders. I would like to play a wav file if any new email ends up in the Inbox-Known folder. I don't see a way to do that. In addition (and I think this is not possible), I would like a sound notification whenever I end up with new email that is left in the inbox folder (after all filters are run). I suspect the solution to this latter problem would be to set up a filter at the end of all filter list that would move any remaining email to a specifically designated folder. Then, of course, I modify that last filter to play a sound. -- Joe Berry [EMAIL PROTECTED] AIM joe topshot Yahoo Msgr joetopshot Jabber [EMAIL PROTECTED] Baltimore, MD Current version is 1.61 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Problem Verifying PGP Signature of TheBat's Announcement
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- (I hope this email didn't get posted twice. I sent the first copy before I had registered myself. I don't think it was distributed.) I'm not a heavy user of pgp so this problem may well be do to something I'm not doing right. Until now, I have only encrypted and decrypted messages. At any rate, I received the notice of the new version of TheBat (v 1.61) and happened to notice that there was a pgp signature associated with the email. Furthermore, there was a URL to RitLab's public encryption key (PGP key is available at https://support.ritlabs.com/pgpkeys/office.txt). So I grabbed the public key and imported it to my pgp keyring. I then asked TheBat to verify the signature of the 1.61 announcement email. Pgp displayed a message saying that the key was invalid. Has anyone else done this? Does it work correctly for you? I tried sending an email to myself using a pgp signature and it worked fine (nice to know I'm still me). I will put a signature around this email (my public key is available at pgpkeys.mit.edu, among other places.
