Hello Michael, > Why is this so confusing (Shift+insert)? If there is this type of > flexibility, there should be documentation. Well, that is not the only feature/option in TB that is not explained in Help. Maybe some day :) -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello Michael, > Interesting. I must have missed this. This feature still doesn't give me > what I want, although it's close. I want to be able to recreate some of the > buttons that are on the Standard toolbar. With them you can click on the > button to chose a default action or click on the drop-down arrow to choose > an alternate action. If I understand what you want, do this: - Click 'Create new Toolbar' button, not _container_, give it a name and, when you OK, it will appear in the left window as a new container under Main Form. - Select the new toolbar. In Actions, select the one you want to be the default for the button and insert it into the Layout window which should still be blank. You can also select now the icon for the button. - Select this first (default) action in layout and in Actions window select and shift+insert the action you want to be the first in your drop down list. - You can now add (insert) more actions in the drop down list. If in Layout you select one of the second level (drop down) actions you can now just insert (without shift) a new action below it. You only need to shift+insert if the top level (default) action is selected. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Adding a drop-down arrow to a toolbar (was: Help: Does Anyone Know About Setting Up Toolbars?)
Hello Michael, > - How do I set up a button that has a drop-down arrow, similar to the > 'Receive new mail' button. That is a functionality well hidden in TB's deep muddy waters... 1. In the "Customize" dialog choose "Create new container" (it's the 4th button from the top between "actions" and "layout" list). A new toolbar container (with a triangle on the right) is created. Select it. 2. Select the action you want to have in that container in the "Action" List and press "Shift" and the "Insert Item" button (its the first button from the top). The item should be added to your container. -- Martin TB! 3.85.03 on Windows XP 5.1 Service Pack 2 Current version is 3.95.06 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
