-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi Thomas, On 26 November 2001 at 15:58:45 [GMT+0800] (which was 07:58 where I live) Thomas F wrote to Rémi Pach on TBUDL and made these points: RP I just wanted to know what's happening to the beta policy and how RP one can get hold of future betas. TF Beta versions are not public any more, but only for TBBETA list TF subscribers. For good reason. However, you are welcome to TF subscribe, and to contribute your findings with the betas you TF download. Just to explain a bit further. RITlabs have announced this decision to gain a tighter control over beta cycles. The TBBETA list is now the only place to find out about betas and to participate in beta testing. This move has been inspired by the appearance of a beta version on a magazine cover disk somewhere, which I'm sure you'll agree makes a good case for tighter to be introduced in this way. Anyway, beta software should not be for casual use. It is for testing on behalf of the developers and requires feedback to them to be of any purpose. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D. Beta testers page
What happened to the beta testers only page? It has disappeared. One can't access betas any more. The link to the TBBeta mailing list and mailing list archive is also gone. Can someone explain? If not, you don't need the beta page anyway. ;-) -- Cheers, Thomas. Moderator der deutschen The Bat! Beginner Liste. I just wanted to know what's happening to the beta policy and how one can get hold of future betas. It may have been discussed there but I can't see anything in the list archives on that topic. Can someone explain in a few words? How do you confirm bugs that have been discovered by others (or not)? How do you give feedback to the developers (the whole point of beta testing)?
