I need help from a specialist, urgent !!!

2005-05-20 Thread Claude Renaud
Hi all,

I set up my smtp parameters like this :

Mail Transmission (SMTP) Authentication
[x] Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC 2554)
Use settings of Mail Retrieval
Use specific settings
[x] Store password on the token
User clauderenaud
Token to Use Token Password
Name: Claude Renaud Set
S/N: 46e65114 Change
Refresh Browse Remove
[ ]Enable Biometric Authentication (Requires TLS)
Cache it for 1 Minutes
[ ] Use POP before SMTP authentication

[x]=checked, [ ] no checked

Note : I work with an Aladdin EToken pro.
And everything work as expected for mail retrieval even if I use the
same technic ... the token !!!

Each time I try to send a message to my [EMAIL PROTECTED]
address I receive the following error :

Edit Mail Message - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Message has not been sent. Server reply - [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Recipient
address rejected: Access denied

Why ?

Greetings,

It's hard to believe that this has something to do with TB but with your
providers settings.

Have you tried using another client (e.g. Thunderbird, very good for testing
purposes) to send a message to yourself? What does it say?

Hi Claude,

I just send an email to that address without a problem.

There could be a number of problems. You could be trying to send from an
account but not using the ISP SMTP server settings.

You could even betrying to send to an email address from the account you
are using to send it from.

Your ISP can be blacklisted by imap4all.

I could not use Thunderbird because I'm blind and it is not accessible.
When I send a message with the usual method, without using the token
all ends well, the problem occur only when I try to store the password
on the token...

The same problem occur whatever e-mail address I try to send a message
to : even when I send to tbudl or anything else, the same message
appears, when I use the traditional smtp settings everything works
well ...

So, what the problem with the EToken usage is ?

No, my isp is Imap4all ande everything goes well with it.
The only problem I have is when I try to send a message, to my

Wow! I am impressed. You manage to deal with the computer as anybody else.
Respect!

Back to your problem. Just to check your report I have removed the SecureBat 2
eToken installation on my notebook and replaced it with TheBat 3.5 Pro. (Which
was a problematic procedure, by the by.) For the daily work I am using TheBat
3.5 with iKey 1000 on my desktop. On the eToken installation I have also
updated the Aladin driver with the latest one recommended by Max Masiutin.
After done this I tried in both installations to store an account password on
the token.

With identical results:

!20.05.2005, 22:05:53: SEND - Message has not been sent. Server reply - must
be authenticated

It seems that TB is unable to pass the authentification data to the server if
we store the password on the token, no matter whether eToken or iKey.

Since this is a highly technical issue, we should pass this thread to Max.
Maybe he can give us some more hints on what to check out or what we are doing
wrong. Or - the best chance g - he can fix this issue.
