I need help from a specialist, urgent !!!
Hi all, I set up my smtp parameters like this : Mail Transmission (SMTP) Authentication [x] Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC 2554) Use settings of Mail Retrieval Use specific settings [x] Store password on the token User clauderenaud Token to Use Token Password Name: Claude Renaud Set S/N: 46e65114 Change Refresh Browse Remove [ ]Enable Biometric Authentication (Requires TLS) Cache it for 1 Minutes [ ] Use POP before SMTP authentication [x]=checked, [ ] no checked Note : I work with an Aladdin EToken pro. And everything work as expected for mail retrieval even if I use the same technic ... the token !!! Each time I try to send a message to my [EMAIL PROTECTED] address I receive the following error : Edit Mail Message - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message has not been sent. Server reply - [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Recipient address rejected: Access denied Why ? Have you tried using another client (e.g. Thunderbird, very good for testing purposes) to send a message to yourself? There could be a number of problems. You could be trying to send from an account but not using the ISP SMTP server settings. You could even betrying to send to an email address from the account you are using to send it from. So, what the problem with the EToken usage is ? No, my isp is Imap4all ande everything goes well with it. The only problem I have is when I try to send a message, to my address, to tbudl or an other address but using the EToken smtp authentication, thus storing the password of my account on the token : when I use the traditional smtp method all ends ell... so the problem occurs only with the etoken usage ... So I need help from a etoken user if possible ... Just to check your report I have removed the SecureBat 2 eToken installation on my notebook and replaced it with TheBat 3.5 Pro. (Which was a problematic procedure, by the by.) For the daily work I am using TheBat 3.5 with iKey 1000 on my desktop. On the eToken installation I have also updated the Aladin driver with the latest one recommended by Max Masiutin. After done this I tried in both installations to store an account password on the token. With identical results: !20.05.2005, 22:05:53: SEND - Message has not been sent. Server reply - must be authenticated It seems that TB is unable to pass the authentification data to the server if we store the password on the token, no matter whether eToken or iKey. Since this is a highly technical issue, we should pass this thread to Max. Maybe he can give us some more hints on what to check out or what we are doing wrong.
