More identities
Hello TBUDL, I wanted to know if you can help me find out how to add more identities to the dropdown list in the From: field. I use a different email for each mailing list that I'm on and I need to change the From: email address for each mailing list I send an email to.-- Best regards, Shai mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

You'd need to add accounts to get more addresses there. But there's a better way: Create addressbook entries for your mailinglists and there in the templates use %from=name address -- Cheers, Andre :andre: Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. The identities are the from addresses of your accounts. When you're using multiple addresses per account the drop down list won't help you. There are two options for using an address depending on the list you're addressing. 1) create address book templates for your list with the %from=specific address macro (both in the new message as reply templates for that address) 2) filter every list to its own folder and set folder identities for each folder, corresponding with the address you've used to subscribe to the matching list The latter system is what I like best, but YMMV -- Groetjes, Roelof Disclaimer: Any opinion stated in this message is not necessarily shared by my budgies or rabbits. I use a different email for each mailing list that I'm on and I need to change the From: email address for each mailing list I send an email to. You can have TB! automate this for you using Templates. For each list address I've created an address book entry. In the address book entry properties there are templates for new and reply messages. In the templates I use the %From=name address macro to define my from address etc. So for a new message to this list, I fire up the editor with the cursor is in the To: field. I type TBUDL and it autocompletes to the list address. I tab down to the subject and formulate my subject. I then tab into the message body area where the new message template from the address book entry is auto-applied. The from address is automatically adjusted. -- -=[ Allie Martin ]=- List Moderator and fellow end-user PGPKeys: http://key.ac-martin.com pgpvphPy2GZSW.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

You don't need to restrict yourself to the drop-down list. S I use a different email for each mailing list that I'm on and I S need to change the From: email address for each mailing list I send S an email to. If you filter the lists into dedicated folders, you can set folder identities in the folder properties. -- Cheers, Thomas. Moderator der deutschen The Bat! Beginner Liste.
