Hi! Is there a possibility to retrieve the passwords of my various accounts I creatred in the Bat!? I'm transferring TB to a new PC and can't find the list with my account logins information. Simply transferring the TB settings of the old PC is not really an option, because I want, instead of POP3 used on the old PC now create them in IMAP. Long, Secure [and Dangerous] TheBat Account Passwords
Just a "heads up": If you were to enter a very long password into TB to use for a very secure account password, be aware that the password will be truncated (without any warning whatsoever) to 70 characters [at least it's 70 in TB V.4.2.44.2]. The upshot of this might be that you could lock yourself out of that account (since the password you entered into TB would not be the one that TB will have ~accepted~ as the password). "Dangerous" indeed. So, make sure you back up any account's settings before you experiment with any long passwords. (Restoring an account's settings is likely the simplest way to "rescue" that "over-secure" account.) -- Fred Using TheBat V.4.2.44.2 for POP3 mail with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

There are a number of options working together here. First, you must set and access password on all your accounts. Then, if the "Allow send/fetch without entering access password" options (Account Properties -> Options) is set, you can check e-mail without entering the password. -- Chris Quoting when replying to this message is good for your karma. Access passwords for folders - newbie asking
Is there any way of setting a password on individual folders? At the moment I'm filtering mail into a separate account which is passworded, but I would like to set a password on individual folders within my main account tree. -- Thanks, Kat [EMAIL PROTECTED] Current Ver: 1.60m FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://bt.ritlabs.com
