Correct. If you put a space after the two dashes, TB will preserve
then *unless* you go back to that line. Then, like with nay line,
trailing spaces will be deleted.

Ah, but now it works! I think the editor has the same behaviour after the
cut mark line as after any other line, but TB knows not to trim trailing
spaces (or at least one) if you put it on the line. It's not very clear I
know, but it seems to work if you put a space at the end of that line
(either in your template or in the message itself) and then don't do
anything like press the end key.

How do I check? I was sure I typed the space into the template,
but if I now try to check, the cursor just goes on moving right

I have now typed a space after the two hyphens but it appears
(and the cursor behaves) exactly as before.

I have TB configured the same way as you do, and I can't reproduce the
problem you are having.

BTW, your cut mark isn't working, you need a space after it ("-- ")

That may be the difference. I don't have TheBat configured to
send until I tell it to, so I don't have the message defined as a
draft.

Hi Gordon,

I tried to copy this but at point 9 with me nothing happens. The draft
msg stays put in the outbox and the highlighted part stays highlighted.

Ihave the msg in the outbox with the draft icon displaying.
Bleow it is the preview plane?

Imagine this kind of behaviour while making love. Would you be surprised if
your partner disappeared? :-)

I suppose The Bat! has feelings too. So next time you come home late at
night, after a heavy day, leave your computer alone. Drink a Belgian beer
instead; that is: only if your day was not heavy _because of_ drinking too
much of it! :-)
