You can do that by deleting the tbuser.def file in the mail
directory. (That's the tbuser.eef file when using otfe.) I must say
that that's a rather unsatisfactory solution as that deletes all your
 customisations.

I am having similar sorts of problems, and that one made no
difference at all for me.

Same problem for me. I simply could not drag the toolbar back into position at
the top left. It either went vertically down the left hand side or above the
right hand part of the window layout.

However, after 45 minutes of cursing, I tried rebooting and found that on
opening The Bat, I could move the toolbar back where it should be!

The problem is that I had made umpteen changes to the menu options before this
to try and fix it, so whether a straight reboot is enough or whether it only
works in conjunction with one or more particular setting changes, I don't know.

It is usually possible to drag and drop toolbar sections to where you want
them. The end of a toolbar section (in my case) is marked by a vertical
dashed line and if you move the curser over it the usual crossed arrows
symbol appears. Click on that and move the toolbar, perhaps down first to
get below thw line of menus, and then leftwards to wherever you want it.
Then move the next section etc.

On Sun, 5 Sep 2004, Joseph mused about Toolbars (at least in part):

What you actually read was that version 3 will someday, in the far,

I would not count on it, or wait for it.
